Peter and Carolina are exceptionally warm people and very, very good hosts. We felt very welcome with you. The house is very clean, the rooms are simple but have everything you need to be happy. But the best thing is the location, about 5-10 minutes by scooter outside of Ruteng and right next to a beautiful rice field! We can highly recommend the homestay and will come back!

The stay with Peter and Carolina was excellent. The homestay is new, the room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. His attention was excellent and in the morning Peter accompanied me to see the spider web rice field next to his house. It is far from the center so it is advisable to go with your own motorcycle, but it is a very quiet and relaxed place in which to rest.

We spent just one night with Peter and his family and it made us want to stay longer! The house is being finished but very comfortable, with large bedrooms. The house is isolated and therefore quiet, next to pretty rice fields, while being just 5 minutes by scooter from the city.Peter speaks English very well, enjoys chatting and answering our questions about local culture, and takes great care of his hosts.Good luck for the future Peter!

Peter and Carolina are exceptionally good hosts. Made us feel very welcomed in their home and catered for our every need. The home is very clean, rooms basic but everything you need. Located 10 minute drive outside of Ruteng city centre, Peter let us rent his bike so this was no issue at all. I really wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Good for 1 night, if you're with your own Bike or Car, because a bit out of the City.This place is a private House, where you rent a room in. Very quiet in the night.No Wi-Fi. No Cafés or Restaurant close by. 10 Min by Bike to Ruteng.Very friendly owners :-)

The best place to stay in Flores! A home full of love and a host that feels like showing you around. Peter and his family will make their home your home including delicious breakfast and coffee. The house is new, the rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is comfortable and it’s quiet. Tea, coffee, water and story’s for free. Ask for warm water for the bathroom if you need it. Both speak a real good english (Carolinas accent is better than mine). And don’t miss the sunset at the rice fields…

Peter and Carolina were really the best hosts we've met, and we felt so so welcome, almost like part of the family. Staying with them has definitely been a highlight of our trip and we can't wait to come back.

We spent 2 nights with Peter and Karolina, and we had the best welcome possible! They helped us from start to finish with all our trips (pickup for the bus, scooter rental for the day) and gave us lots of excellent advice for visits to the surrounding area. They introduced us to a delicious fish warung and we attended a concert by local bands. Their house is under construction but the comfort is more than sufficient as it is (we had our best lie-ins here!). We really felt at home during these 2 days, thank you very much for sharing and long live Wisma Po'ong 🫶

The best homestay where we really felt like a part of family. After few days camping on the way from west it offered us the best well-deserved rest in very comfortable room and on the way back from east the same. This is really the place where you want to come back. It is situated in very calm part of Ruteng but still around 8 mins to city center. You will get welcome coffee or tea with traditional pastry and tasty breakfast is included aswell.The owners; Piter and Karolina were so helpful and we are happy to help them at least with this review! They helped us to repair our motorbike and gave us so many informations about Manggarai culture. Their english is very good.

They open recently so that's why they don't have many reviews yet. They were so kind and help me to organise all the activities. The owners speak good english and enjoy giving interesting information about the local culture. They always will to answer every curiosity of their guests. When I spent time there I felt like a member of the family more than a guest. Hopefully we will see each other again!

Awesome experience!Piter and Karolina were lovely hosts, very hospitable and friendly. We made a mistake when booking and they sorted the situation out, no problem.The location is also excellent, in a very quiet street with a lot of greenery around, while being close to the city.The hosts additionally gave us good recommendations of what to see and took us to nice places (without forcing us to).Definitely can rwcommend. 👍

The best host ever. We booked one night but decided to stay longer because the owners are the kindest couple. We couldn’t ask for more. The owners showed us the coffee and rice fields in the neighbourhood, which is very quiet and remote from the noisy city, but still very close to the center. We spend a beautiful time talking together. Had the best breakfast and went to their friends' wedding together. I totally recommend it. Everything was perfect. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness ❤️

I don’t have enough great things to say about this place and our host, Piter! The accommodation is comfortable and affordable compared to the area. It’s located within a short scooter ride of all the attractions in the nearby region. The food available is nice and affordable! And the best part, the host! Piter and his wife are some of the most hospitable that I’ve had in 9 months traveling Asia. Communication is easy and transparent and they are great to sit down and enjoy wonderful conversation. I was fortunate to travel there while his cousin was getting married, without hesitation he invited us to come to the wedding that night and we were included like family, as complete strangers. While weddings don’t happen all the time, this speaks to their wonderful kindness and treating you like family.If you’re still reading this— book the room! :)
