Villa Santai was the perfect place for my wife and 15 year old daughter to stay for our 8 days on Rote. Sharon patiently answered all our travel questions to get us there seamlessly and Dino was a source of great knowledge about all things Rote.The staff-especially Santi, Randy and Obed were wonderful and could not have been more helpful, from teaching us Indonesian to serving us great food three time a day. The cleaning staff kept our Bommie bungalow spotlessly clean.The flourishing garden reflects the care and attention Dean and Sharon give to the Villa.Mike and Jozua from Rote Dive Adventures made sure our daughter was safe as she completed her PADI Open Water Dive certificate. The coral dive sites were so beautiful.The kayak trip in the mangroves was a special day and Ron from Nemberala Beach Surf School gave great surf lessons.So much to love about our stay at Villa Santai-and still so much more to do!

This is the best place to stay by far .. Staff ,food ,hosts, and a great bar for arvo happy hour. Dean provides great surf knowledge for guests of when and where to go ! Rooms are clean always and you're valuables are always safe.The best Margaritas made by Obed the barman along with top ingredients , cleanliness , and bar games ..!10 outa 10 all round ..! Another perfect stay at Villa Santi. This was our 2nd visit & we’ve already booked our next stay.Dean, Sharon & their team could not be more welcoming & helpful. The location is magnificent, with the pool over looking the palm fringed sea & surrounded bybeautiful gardens blooming with bougainvillea & frangipanis. The tropical styles villas are clean & well appointed with everything you need. The food is absolutely delicious & it’s the best bar on the island.Bliss!& on top of all this, the surf and scuba diving are excellent. There are few places in the world where it is so convenient to do both whilst staying on land in stellar accommodation.

Had an amazing stay at Villa Santai!Sharon and Deano were extremely accomodating and a pleasure to stay with. They were there for any questions I had and offered a helping hand when needed. Very kind, caring and fun to hang with!Staff were AMAZING! They made the stay feel very special and like home. Big shout out to the crew there for cooking simply delicious meals three times a day, having the boats ready every morning and of course the bartender, Obed, who made the bar light up with fun of a nighttime.Beautiful location for sunsets and great waves. Can’t wait to go back,Cheers!

Stayed for 10 days with my parents in June 2024.Great location, facilities, knowledge and service for surfers and non-surfers alike (mum was not surfing) that made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The service and guest engagement from staff highlighted to us a well-run resort where staff are valued.Dino and Sharon happily answered all questions, and more, and have a great understanding of the area, across the board, reflecting their long-term presence in the community. They were happy to arrange non-surfing activities including a kayak tour which my parents did.I injured my foot, as did another guest, whilst there and everyone went out of their way to ensure we were looked after including several visits, free of charge, from Annie one of the local doctors.

We’ve just had the most fantastic week staying at Villa Santai - with family and friends - beautiful resort and the hosts Sharon and Dino gave us such a warm welcome. All the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.We were picked up from the ferry and our luggage brought to our accommodation.Motorbikes were waiting for us as soon as we arrived giving us the freedom to explore island plus tips of which places to visit.Snorkelling, surfing and boat trips to discover the nearby islands were all organised by Dino.The kids loved using the SUPs that we had available for our use.All in all a superb holiday. Thanks guys 🙏
