DoReMi Ubud Guest House

Firstly, the location is great, in the center of Ubud. Very convenient to get to different places. There are excellent inexpensive cafes nearby. Very nice owner. The rooms are bright and fresh.For its price, I think this is one of the best deals on the market

Very pleasant experience in this accommodation, very kind and generous family, regarding the room, very clean and with all the facilities (air conditioning, shampoo, hairdryer...) And the breakfast surprised us a lot, simple but very very delicious. Thank you very much for everything, if we return to Ubud, this will be our first option.

Excellent room, very clean, great breakfast servced on you private balcony, in the center but very quiet of the main road. And most of all the nicest owners: simply the best place in Ubud, highly recommended.

Here Is an honest review. Overall the room was fine. There was a tiny fridge, a small balcony and an air conditioner. The neighbors however had a loud bird that would scream and they were building and constructing with lots of hammering and noise. The owner was over controlling about everything. I felt like I never had a moment of peace. She wanted my class schedule and to know where I was at constantly. She would state one thing very clearly about their routine and then do the opposite. For example she said everyday they clean the rooms at 12 and asked that I not be in my room during that time of the day. That was fine since I had a class and wouldn’t be there. The next morning I came home from Yoga and had only 30 minutes to shower, change, eat and get to my class. When I got to my room at 9 her and her husband were in there cleaning, mopping, blankets off the bed and in my space when I was in a hurry. Very inconvenient and opposite of what they said they would do. They also offered a third party laundry service so you didn’t have to wash it yourself. This seemed great until I got my laundry returned damaged. My first load of laundry they delivered back to me my zipper was broken on my jacket. They did nothing about it. The owner insisted that I use their transportation to get from the airport to the guesthouse. Upon arrival the driver was nowhere to be found. I had to call the driver who was still in bed and wait an extra 2 hours at the airport to wait. (After flying over 30 hours and arriving in another country at 1am I was not impressed)Every day there was always something they needed from me or something went wrong. I received several messages daily via WhatsApp with more instructions and questions. It was overkill. I felt like I was walking on eggshells and really just wanted a place to sleep at night. That’s all. I’m on vacation, wanted to relax, and didn’t want to constantly be harassed. So the room is great if you can deal with the owner always in your business.

Yumi and her husband Gede were so lovely, welcoming and accomodating and the room itself was well presented, large and clean. I loved the additional touch of the house slippers, hairdyer, bath tub etc. …
