Was the most incredible retreat space. Located just far enough away from the bustle of Ubud to feel the calm serene atmosphere of the jungle but close enough to do a quick scooter into town and do some shopping. The food was amazing and always seemed to come up with something more delicious each day. The yoga space has everything you need. Can’t wait to come back 🩷

Basundari is a beautiful property with beautiful staff. We came here for a retreat so 14 of us took over the whole place which I think is the best way to do it. Stayed in Jnana room which was great. The best room is Arjuna as it has its own pool. We had a nosey in our friends room. The pools don’t get much sun and we wanted a bit more hanging space for our clothes and a more powerful shower but apart from that it was excellent.There was a chef that designed a week of meals that were all vegetarian and gluten free as per the groups requirements and so different every day. So yummy! Would recommend for a retreat. Feel it’s out of the way from the centre of ubud so if you want quiet and tranquility then it’s great.

So amazing, everything from the food, to the massages, to the rooms, it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend to anyone wondering if they should stay or book a retreat, I had the best time and I will forever remember this experience. So overall a very good stay.

Basundari was the absolute most gorgeous place to host my yoga retreat. The staff is so kind and supportive. The food was outstandingly delicious. They had everything we needed for yoga and the grounds are simply stunning. I can’t wait to come back and host another yoga retreat at Basundari. Basundari Retreat is one of the hidden gem spaces in Ubud. Has been here second time now and I still want to come back. Its far enough from the hustle and bustle centre town surrounded by a beautiful rice fields which are quite rare now in Ubud but it takes only 10 mins to the Ubud Central town. The food as amazing as always with lots of healthy options. They provide some delicious Indonesian and Balinese snacks during your stay which is a bonus. I also enjoy the sauna, ice bath and swimming pool with a jungle view all in one spot! Beautiful designed rooms. I typically loved the details they have put in the room such as the complimentary homemade oat cookies and tropical fruits.Dayu and all the staff have always been friendly and very accommodating. Perfect spot if you want to relax and connect to the nature ☘️

Everything was magical. From the idyllic surroundings to the beautifully appointed rooms, the friendly staff that made you feel extra special - nothing was too much trouble. Not to mention the delicious food!!! (I actually asked the chef to come home with me but sadly, he refused)

Paradise on earth! Confortable beautiful rooms, the sound of the water in the forest, makes it perfect. The staff, kind, helpful and effective. The food exquisite , the yoga instructors fantastic. I couldn’t ask for a better place! I highly recommend it!
