Love, love, love!!We have just come back from 6 nights in villa akasa segara and had the most amazing, relaxing stay. We found the property on AirBNB, but booked directly which saved some money. The booking was easy and the information we received was very helpful. We booked for 6 people; Me, my husband, our 2 children (8 and 5) and my parents. We arranged to be picked up from the airport and the driver Komang was easy to find and looked after us! The drive was around 3 hours and we arrived late at night, so it was dark, but we were in great hands. The villa was incredible!! Very clean and modern and well maintained. The staff take a lot of care and it shows. The beds were comfy and the air con in the rooms were great. The main living only has fans, not air con, so it does get a bit warm, but is still comfortable. We stayed in due to the nats at sundown, but no different to home!! The pool was amazing!! A great size and enjoyed by everyone and the view was second to none. The beach is a black sand beach and not good for swimming, but with the pool you don't feel you need it. And still gives an amazing backdrop for photos. The garden is so well looked after each day by Putu and is just glorious!! There was a rooster next door that kept us up the first night, but once we got used to it we didn't notice it as much!! Iluh was absolutely amazing. So warm and friendly and the most amazing cook. Each day we had bacon, eggs, toast, juice and fruit for breakfast. Then we had Iluh cook for us on a few evenings and the food was so tasty and enjoyable. Iluh even catered to a few of our dietary requirements, which we were so grateful for. There is a menu in the villa and you can let iluh what meals you want that evening. You give some money for groceries and Iluh will come back and cook at your requested time. It was so easy and enjoyable. I think there may have been filtered water there for us to use, but we only realised after arriving at our next accommodation. During our stay we had just been buying bottles from the supermarket. We arranged to go to the supermarket with Iluh which is in Lovina and only around 10 minute drive (not walkable!), so we stocked up on snacks for lunch time as we wanted to make the most of chilling by the pool. We found the supermarket similar to Aussie prices, but only when we realised we had been buying all international (aussie) foods (hence the higher prices!!). Iluh also arranged a dolphin boat trip for us and the boat picked us up from the beach infont of the villa. It was an incredible experience to be able to hang off the boat and watch as the dolphins dive down. Lovina is about 10 mins drive, so we only went in one evening for dinner. I have read reviews that say some restaurants will pick you up and drop you back for free, but we missed this and arranged a taxi. We went to funky place which was fun for the kids with the swings and fire show. Komang took us back to seminyak at the end of the stay and stopped at a waterfall along the way. We had the absolute best stay and would love to come back in future. We would have booked for longer if we could. A great place to spend a week chilling and unwinding after a manic week down south!! Cannot recommend highly enough to anyone who asks ☺️ The location is great, villa amazing, staff incredible, what more could you want?!
