Villa Mahkai

Our extended family of 9 loved this villa, it was the perfect set up for together time and privacy. There are three buildings you have access to, the main house with two bedrooms and two, two bedroom units each room completely private. It’s a drive to any shops but the staff arrange all of your needs at your request including a fab driver. You choose dinners from the menu and they cook these for you. You simply pay them for the groceries and then they go out and get the ingredients and you get the recent and change. There is no food in the cupboards so if you have hungry teens make sure you bring snacks with you until you get into the swing of things.

Villa Mahkai is a very beautiful and large villa with staff. That was a very nice experience. The toilets were a bit less flushable, but otherwise everything was great. Very beautiful garden with several swimming pools, well maintained and you feel like a king. Staff friendly, food excellent.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Villa Mahkai in Bali. The property itself is stunning, with a beautiful garden, pool, and sea view. The villa staff was also exceptional, providing us with excellent service throughout our stay.However, there were various things that could be improved. For example, many of the appliances in the villa were not in good working condition, such as the safes, toilet flushes, faucets, curtains, and wardrobe doors. There was also a sewage smell in the rooms at times, cockroaches in the kitchen and the wifi was poor. The villa staff tried to rectify the issues as far as possible, but it would be necessary to do some upgrading by the management.Additionally, the neighbour is noisy at times when he sings karaoke, and the villa staff does not work on Sundays and public holidays, therefore will not cook or clean. The communication with the Palm Living agency was also difficult, especially when requesting a car rental quote or when they insisted to charge us 3% bank fees which turned out not to be required (we had to highlight it several times). After leaving a review, they started arguing and accusing us of incorrectness.Overall, we had a positive experience at Villa Mahkai, but guests should be aware that it is not a 5-star villa and communication with Palm Living may be challenging in case of disputes.

We spent a week here and it was brilliant. The house is a bit older but really well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and can cook very well. The whole property is huge, with 3 pools, guest houses,... We had a really great time!

Good Place

Beautiful grounds, kind and helpfull staff. A dream home. About half an hour west of lovinia area. Wish we could have spent more time here, definitely a place to come and hang out, enjoy the pools and the delicious food prepared by the staff. Be sure to ask them to arrange water for the cooler, and take advantage of the massage therapists you can have over. We had 9 therapists arrive so our entire group could have a massage at the same time. It's also nice to walk along the shore at sunset.

Mixture between villa and hotel, space for many guests

You can wander for a while before you find the villa. It is located between fields, right next to the beach. The beach is not clean. Otherwise, beautiful and luxurious accommodation, small outdoor pool, excellent cuisine, smiling staff.
