I didn’t have a great stay in Mad Monkey.Toilets are dirty, hot water didn’t work. The bar was closed because it was “low season”.There was no curtains between the beds …

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The place was clean and well-maintained, which made my time there so comfortable. What really stood out, though, was the staff—everyone was incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. Special shout-out to Nicha, who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.

Not like the photos, no pool, very very run down. It’s in need of some renovations and there was bed bugs when I had stayed here. Left immediately staff was unfriendly and not surprised or even cared about the bed bugs

We absolutely loved our stay at mad monkey. It ended up being our favourite hostel of the whole trip. It was really social with great events planned every day. It’s not too big which was nice, some of the party hostels can be too overwhelming at times as they’re so big. Great location, just a short walk from the main streets. The hostel is also next door to a pool which was great which we could use at a discounted price. The rep chai was amazing, he always made sure everyone was included. Out of all the reps we met in Thailand he was by far the best. He organised games every night and came out with us, it was really fun. The rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

No curtains in any of the dorms, that was our big issue. Toilets were cleaned every morning, they’re shared between 2 dorms. Location was 10 minute walk into town. Really friendly staff, happy to help you out whenever. Tour were good as well. They had music playing 12-11pm and you could hear others if they were loud, but earplugs fixed that. We got bitten so much though by mosquitoes, they AC is not enough to cover the full one, they should add another or add nets.

Really good atmosphere, a little outside the city, but only 10-15 minutes walk to city center. Beautiful views. Right next to a public swimming pool. The female dorm room had very nice beds with a lot of privacy, the ac was good. Toilets could have been a little nicer. Food and bar is good too

Lovely nature area, a little from town but a lovely area. Staff are great love them, food is great and it’s got great burgers. Rooms are a little tight but safety isn’t an issue air in on all the time and it’s perfect temperature.

The mad monkey in Pai has a great atmosphere but it’s not a party one. The staff are lovely and always make sure to chat to you, suggest activities and make you feel welcome. I would warn about the rooms as they are not mosquito proof, as we discovered our first night here. Other than that so far it’s been a good hostel.

They had bed bugs in the dorm room. I booked two nights, left after the first night as another traveler was bitten many times. Also there was no party life probably due to it being the off season.

i LOVE mad monkey, i have stayed at all locations and so far pai is my favorite. the atmosphere was chill when i arrived, not the party i was used to other mad monkeys but still so personable and fun:)
