This is the best hostal in Pai, no doubt! The place is new, clean, with an amazing swimming pool. Plus they let me check in, twice at 10am with no charge!

Worst accommodation.I went there knowing it was a dormitory, but I only stayed for 1 night out of 5 and quickly changed to another accommodation in the early morning. There is a sign in the dorm asking people to be quiet after 10 o'clock, but no one follows it.Westerners are really noisy and chaotic until 4 in the morning.Even though it was clearly stated that eating and drinking was prohibited in the dormitory, it was completely ignored. It doesn't even have 1 control and it's really the worst. No matter how person-by-person it is, it feels dizzy.I asked for a refund, but it was not allowed due to Agoda's policy -> I inquired with Agoda, and they said they would refund me if they said it was just accommodations -> When I actually said yes, I received an email saying that it was not possible due to their policy.During check-in, the Western man was harsh when talking about bed bugs, so I had to snap out of it.There were a lot of Korean reviews, but I was just lucky.Even if someone goes later, I hope there are only quiet people who are lucky.

EDIT: Incredible! The hostel responded with straight lies! I DON’T SMOKE so I have no idea who they are referring to, and I literally mentioned in my review I addressed this issue the moment I checked in, as they claim in their response that I should have. And about “moving to a different hostel” - they fully refused to refund me, so what would you expect? They also are quite rude in WhatsApp, quickly deleting their remarks. I am considering suing at this point.I’m very saddened to leave my first ever 1 star review. Don’t get me wrong, the place and its facilities are nice, however:I came here in order to recover from an injury, booking a private room online. When I checked in at night I was lead to the dorms, my “room” being behind a thin sliding door (the top of this thin wall being open for the AC). When I addressed this at the reception, I was told to come back in the morning. The next day, after being woken by alarm clocks in the dorm (keep in mind this is a 1000THB/night bed) the only solution offered was for me to pay MORE per NIGHT to upgrade to a “real” private room, saying this misunderstanding happens often! If it happens often why not update the online booking to reflect reality? The staff was super unhelpful and referred me to agoda, not wanting to assist me any further. If I had been healthier I would have simply cancelled my credit transaction and left immediately. The owner seems more concerned about where people leave drinks by the pool and his brownies than the actual guests. It seems ridiculous to pay for a premium private room and go to sleep hearing snoring.

Stay opposite but use the cafe service. As for the hotel, there is coffee and food, especially Grandma/Auntie who cooks. Cute, kind, speaks very nicely. The staff are also lovely. Spacious space Suitable for families Overall, I'm impressed with the staff and the food tastes ok. The weather is hot. Stop by to eat at the cafe. It's ok and cool 😁

Pros> great pool> clean accomodation> perfect location - walking distance to the Main StreetCons> American Diner - need I say more.> doesn’t serve alternative milk for coffee or tea. This is particularly poor as Pai is a very hypie like town with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Bit of advice for the owner - pop down the shop and grab oat and soy milk.> a very authoritarian approach from the owner. Lingers around the diner and addresses staff firmly in front of guests.
