We were here five years ago!We are here again with great pleasure on March 3, 2024, almost five years after our first stay. The Lady of 2019 is still running the store and welcomed us with all her kindness like five years ago.We booked with Booking for 600 baht. We are on the third floor in room 302 with air conditioning this time and a fridge. Wifi and television work A-1 😊👌👍. We slept very well in a good comfortable bed. We add fresh photos 😊. We will definitely come back when we return from Cambodia in two weeks.Review written on March 3, 2024 in Trat, Thailand_________________________Very suitable and affordable.We slept there for two nights, April 11 and 12, 2019, in a large room on the top floor with fan at the rate of 350 baht per night which is equivalent to approximately $15.00 CAN. Rooms with air conditioning were 600 baht. The room was clean and was cleaned the next day. Wifi was ok. German, English and Thai are spoken there. The heat was oppressive of course because we are in Thailand but the fan was surprisingly even amply sufficient but just at the limit. The heat became much more bearable at night and in the early morning. If your budget allows it, a room with air conditioning is ideal. We were on the top floor but there was no elevator. It is an old hotel but is very well maintained and the lady is extremely kind and speaks excellent English. His partner is German and also speaks English. We had breakfast there for 70 baht each for both mornings which was absolutely excellent and complete with good non-instant coffee. The hotel is located in a small narrow alley so not too noisy which is an advantage. We had a large balcony on which we could dry our washed laundry. We were able to easily rent a scooter there for 200 baht for 24 hours and the terms and conditions are very simple because there are none. The lady called her contact and a lady immediately arrived with the scooter in question and left with a smile. No documents to fill out and sign and no deposit. All you have to do is be a customer at Residence House and everything is done. We walked around the area quite a bit and the scooter gave us great satisfaction. We were within walking distance of the market and some good, very affordable restaurants. In short, a hotel where you feel at home with lots of human warmth. We have photos to share with you. I have known Herbert and Can for years and particularly appreciate their helpfulness, the rooms are always great! The good mattresses are particularly worth mentioning. Price performance ratio is very good. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

The Residence House is close to the market and the river of Trat with the romantic promenade.The rooms are clean, quiet and beautiful. There is air conditioning and fan rooms.We had a beautiful room on the third floor with a balcony and a view of the city.There is no elevator.We would have liked to stay here longer. 😃

Great place, very close to the centre yet very quiet. We had a very clean room with balcony..... Spacious, good bed, very good wifi. The woman who ran it was friendly, helpful, and very kind. She helped with boat reservations.Highly recommended

Very friendly staff and great rooms in a perfect location. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt very happy here. I highly recommend the family room for the families. For the price, you get great value. If you stay on Saturdays you can visit the lovely night market on the parallel street. It is also located very central but in a very quiet area.

It's always nice to stay at the Residang guesthouse. The rooms are clean and I have never seen such large beds anywhere else. The owners are very friendly and give good tips for things to do and where to eat.
