I was there at the end of the tourist season. The owners were really nice. They gave me some very good recommandations on what to do and where to go. The hotel is really great with a perfect sunset view from the rooftop. I really enjoyed staying there as well as the breakfast food (I really recommend to try at least once) and the bar (great cocktail ☺️). The position of the hotel on the island let you go anywhere quite easily as long as you have a vehicle, but it's also easy to catch a taxi.If I can, I'll certainly come back

Resident on the island, I have never stayed in the bungalows of Lazy République, however I enjoy their breakfasts regularly (everything is good: casserole, juice, jam etc.), their aperitifs/cocktails at the end of the day , without forgetting the friendliness, kindness and good humor of Fred and Pilou!An establishment not to be missed for various reasons, and all these reasons are good!

Our stay at Lazy Republic turned out to be a real eye-opener!Not only is the place spotlessly clean and quiet, but it also has a warm atmosphere that made us immediately feel at home.The breakfast was simply exquisite, with a special favorite for the "French Cocotte" and for the welcome from Fred and Philou, who knew how to make our experience unique and personalized. Located a stone's throw from the sea and with a most pleasant swimming pool, this place is undoubtedly a little corner of paradise on earth.The efficient Wi-Fi was a significant plus for us who work online. We sincerely wish we could have extended our stay and look forward to returning very soon.A memorable stay in every aspect!

Stayed at this resort in Koh Chang and loved every moment. The owners are wonderful, offering great advice and genuine warmth. Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, staff are friendly, and the ambiance is truly peaceful. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay!

Quiet, peaceful, well run and well maintained place to stay in Bailan. The bungalows are super nice with great AC, room cleaning service every day, lots of space. Nice pool out front, too. The French couple who run it are very sweet and do a great job making their guests feel comfortable and at home.Easiest way to get around from here is with a scooter or motorbike, but you can also taxi to other areas of the island. Close to Lonely Beach if you want to be more social, easy to meet people there. The resort is not directly by a beach, but I think the peacefulness is totally worth it.I would recommend Lazy Republique to anyone looking to relax and have their own private space on Koh Chang. Thank you!

I'm currently on vacation here and can already recommend this accommodation without reservation.Fred (female) and her husband Pilou are very, very nice, open-minded and helpful hosts. Both speak perfect English or French and no wish is left unfulfilled, be it at breakfast (fresh and homemade food), at the rooftop bar (very good cocktails) or for helpful recommendations.Be sure to try Pilou's cocktail or Fred's French cocotte... a dream!We feel super comfortable here!!!Rooms, facilities etc. are impeccable.Air conditioning works perfectly.Both also have an understanding of environmental protection (avoiding plastic) and healthy eating.So if you want great accommodation on Koh Chang, just book the Lazy Republique.In the meantime, I'm still enjoying my stay here...

In our opinion it was more expensive than it should be, and it's in an awful location . literally next to the highway, and the beach south belongs to a different resort. It's not an easy walk to the beach. Yet the owner is really, really nice and helpful

Very good place for stay in Koh Chang.The rooms are so quiet and calm.Breakfast is so taste and with many options. The owners are so friendly.If we come back to Koh Chang sure we booking here again 😍Nearby the hotel there are laundry, good massage, restaurant, rent scooter...And beach it's only 7-8 min by walk, and is sp cute beach, specially for sunset. If you like to walk you can arrive in Bang Boa in 40 min by walk.

We stayed in Lazy Republique for almost a week and had the bungalow at the top of the hill. It is comfortably furnished and we didn't miss anything. The complex is beautifully laid out between the large trees. There are always birds chirping and butterflies fluttering by. At breakfast you sit with a view of the sea and in the evening you can watch the sunset over the sea in the bar. Breakfast is always freshly prepared. There are various dishes with eggs, muesli and pancakes. The jam is homemade. Other variants are also available for a little extra charge. The owners are extremely warm and attentive. They gave us lots of valuable tips and even helped find a scooter and made a restaurant reservation for us. We felt very comfortable and had a great time

A seemingly warm welcome but then things take a turn for the worse. No one helps us take our suitcases to the bungalow, which is quite difficult to access, the same at the start. After the friendly welcome drink, it seems that the owners took umbrage at our preference for Thai breakfasts outside the hotel. Barely a hello in the mornings. Not having been questioned at the end of the stay about its quality, we were not able to mention the snake which entered our room the last night and which my husband had to evacuate. Simple and clean room.

Located on a quiet beach at Koh Chang (and a beautiful one, too) but not directly on the beach (so, no unwanted visitors in front of your bungalows at night). Beautiful bungalows (not overloaded but kept simple and tasteful). Extremly good sleep. Cleaning every day. Nice owners (Fred and Pilou) who are always there for some talking if you should feel lonely but who will also keep distance if you have a not so talkative day, so perfect hosts. Good breakfast if you are the breakfast type of person (which we are not). Just sad, that each holiday ends one day...

We had a great stay at LAZY Republique! The rooms are large, modern and clean and you immediately feel comfortable. The rest of the area including the bar and pool is also very nice and clean. What is particularly noteworthy is that waste is avoided by giving every guest an aluminum drinking bottle to refill. The breakfast is delicious and you should definitely try the homemade jams and ice creams.
