Old and not well maintained. AC had no remote, we asked for one but our request ignored. Fridge was very old, rusty and dirty, I told the lady on reception and she laughed.Ceiling was cracked in various places. Bathroom was not clean. No storage room or space in the room.The swimming pool has a nice view.All in all not value for money.

For the price it was great!!! We spent a week at this beautiful resort!!! Romantic place for couples!!! Clean rooms and soft bed was amazing!!! It was peaceful, quiet, and staff made you feel at home!!! The woman who runs the place made sure we were very comfortable and happy!!!We decided not to rent a motorbike. The resort has its own taxi and always quickly got us a ride to where we wanted to go. Island is not that big so if you enjoy walking go for it.Delicious food!!! The woman cooking the food does an amazing job!!! They have a restaurant on sight with Thai and western options. For being on sight and with a sea view the prices were reasonable. Only a few places on island we found cheaper and the atmosphere was not as nice with zero views.Cons: lots of stairs. We did pick a room that required more stairs however the views were worth it. I almost fell twice on the stairs. If the hotel ever does a remodel please add ramp walk ways. Steps are dangerous. Give the guest two options.The bathroom kills some of the romance if someone uses the toilet haha. My advice open the window and door in the room and air it out. For the price worth it. Happy customers!!!! Thank you

You have to say there are definitely nicer resorts here on Koh Mak. The beach is small but nice, although the sand is very brown. The jetty offers a beautiful view, but everything around is very rocky and not necessarily suitable for swimming.The facility is very old, our room had huge gaps in the locked door and window. The walls were littered with slain mosquitoes. Water is left in front of the door every day, and toilet paper too. Sometimes you have to ask for it, but then it is brought to you.There were no batteries for the TV remote control and no remote control for the air conditioning, so the only option was to turn off the set temperature completely.The boss there was always trying hard.

There is a car available to pick you up from the pier to your accommodation. The accommodation is not small or big. The owner has a bit of a Baptist mood😆 The view is beautiful, you can see the sunrise as well. It's quiet, but there's not much of a beach. There are a few. There are no motorcycles for rent, but they found one for rent, but it's too old, the brakes aren't good, you'll run out of gas, you'll have to fill it up yourself, and charge the full price, no deductions😡....

The resort itself is great: the room is clean, big and very comfortable, every morning you get new water bottles, has a great and big pool, a pier from where you can watch the sunrise, and the lady working at the reception is very helpful. The downsides are: don't expect a nice beach here, the one in this location has red sand and it's rocky. It's not good for swimming, but you can rent a motorbike to drive around the island (it's small and very easy to drive). Also the restaurant is VERY expensive, we haven't eaten there cuz you get cheaper and good ones driving 4 min from the resort.

This resort is on the quiet side of Koh Mak. We stayed as a family of four with young children and we found the room, with an extra mattress, a bit too claustrophobic. You also need to have pretty good knees to stay here since the resort is pretty much on the hillside and you will have to walk up and down all day. The lady manager is very kind. she might seem quiet and reserve but she will get things done for you. Food is standard, good portion, reasonable priced. The drawback is the beach. It is somewhat rocky and muddy. The sand is corser than beaches on the NE and SE of the Island and the water is murky, underwater visibility is zero. However, we were genuinely happy staying at Buri Hut.

One of the best resorts we've been to. The huts are spacious enough, clean with comfy bed, A/C and a fan. There's a pool, restaurant, bike rental to get around, beach and a pier where you can chill and watch the sunrise. The place is family friendly and quiet for a good value. Puu the receptionist is very kind and helpful!!!Highly recommend!!

Great Resort. They upgraded our room considering availability, rented a great condition motorbike, and picked us up/dropped off for ferry. I mean, what else can you ask for?

Great value for money, the owner is extremely nice and helpful. The accommodation is right on the sea with a private beach, the pool is great. The rooms are large and spacious. We felt very comfortable.

AMAZING resort! We loved our time staying in this beautiful resort, the pool was lovely and the beach on-site is honestly just as nice as some of the other beaches on the island, and we had it all to ourselves which made it even more amazing! The staff here are all so lovely, a special thanks to Pou for making us feel so comfortable. Highly recommend staying here, it is only a 5-7 minute drive to the centre of Koh Mak and we were able to rent a scooter on-site.

When we arrive, we were the only guests. Kitchen was open but we had to order diner ahead. Rooms are oké, big bathroom. The view was fantastic, just beatiful. Infinity pool. For us the place was to far Swayze from other shops and restaurants, you needed a motorbike. Staff was very help full.

I stayed in this hotel for just one night in December 2019.The welcome was great (the hotel had sent a vehicle to pick me up from the pier, arriving from KoKood)The hotel is really nice, super quiet, the smurf village style cottages are cozy and well maintained. The mattress is comfortable and the bathroom super comfortable (which is good given my previous nights more in the roots)The swimming pool at the top with a great view of the bay and very few people, so real comfort. I particularly appreciated the little stroll with its hyper romantic potential (I say potential because I was alone in this hotel, but clearly in romantic mode the spot is valid)The possibility of renting a scooter on site is practical, I'm not sure it's super competitive but it's still okay.When I come back to the area I will definitely choose to come back here.
