The Beach Cafe

A very well-kept and clean facility, from the restaurant area to the rooms, where they constantly strive to keep it at this inviting level. A stylish ambience with selected chillout music in the background, good cocktails and food. The massage area is also worth mentioning and recommended in terms of quality and cleanliness. In this area you can really enjoy the moment. For me as a guest, there were other important points that stood out negatively and that I personally don't like on a vacation.I really missed “Delux” in the so-called “Deluxe Double Room”. There is no daylight and no privacy here, because the room is in the middle of the dark access area. This is absolutely not understandable when booking. There is a window there, but you will voluntarily keep the curtain closed at all times if you want your privacy because other guests walk or sit right by the window. Not a comfortable retreat if you want to get out of the sun, you only go in here voluntarily to sleep. Another point is breakfast, which according to the regulated times is only possible from 9:00 a.m. When we asked if we could have breakfast earlier because we had booked excursions, it was explained that, depending on the staff's preparations, we could be there around 8:00. In reality it looks like this: you sit in the breakfast area at 8:00, the staff sees you and of course knows what you want, but doesn't even begin to tell you when you can order. After 15-20 minutes of waiting with exchanging looks, you get up yourself to at least order a coffee at the counter. Since we have booked excursions whose pickup is usually between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., it gets really uncomfortable and the stress factor on vacation sets in. A relaxed breakfast is therefore absolutely not possible and I felt like a supplicant. In terms of price/performance, the breakfast is really good for Thai standards. Since breakfast is not included in the room price, it adds up if you want to have a long breakfast... charging the equivalent of €1.53 for a small cup of coffee is simply too expensive. The fact that no card payment is accepted but only cash has an unpleasant and stressful aftertaste. Another point is the entire environment of this accommodation, which this tenant certainly cannot do anything about, but is still part of the overall picture. Dirty and littered beach and neighborhood with some dilapidated buildings…

Only stopped at the restaraunt. Really lovely decor and nice drinks. Food is well presented but portions were very small. Not even 5 cubes of pork in 1 dish. However I would stop here dor a drink again and the staff were very nice.

Without hesitation 5 stars. I just note the café restaurant: perfectly good. Good location on a pretty sandy beach, the European owner has a pleasant sense of humor and it is tastefully decorated too. Nice little Thai and European menu with average prices. Free beach chairs for consumers. I will try to return there during my stay on Chang. They make very good homemade pizzas.

Made a quick stop on the way back from the ghost ship. Please park on the side of the road, otherwise 20 B. Café is really nice, relaxed, delicious fruit shake!!
