I wanted so bad to like this place given the reviews. Clean, average room with little or no amenities. Small hotel with front desk not open much. You can ring bell and owner will respond I guess. She is the only one that speaks English and I assume she lives there. Reviews discuss the delicious breakfast and the kitchen was closed till October. Could find little or no breakfast spots around unless you paid a large charge at a resort. My biggest concern was the room was not cooling to a comfortable level during the day. I told the owner or manager about it and she said it was due to the hot weather. She offered a fan but never brought one. She never asked further about our comfort. The units are close to the Main Street so you get some street noise. The unit was clean but no shampoo or even soap at the sink. The towels needed water softener. There was a gel dispenser in the shower area. It is a bathroom where the toilet gets wet when you take a shower. They have motorcycles on site. I guess I got what I paid for.

Place to stay. Everything is great. Soft bed, cleaning done every day, bottle of water, coffee... Breakfast, perfect. The owners are adorable. On kai bae. The beach super clean and beautiful. Lots of restaurants and shops right next door. A top agency near the hotel too. A massage parlor across from 7/11. Enjoy massage. The best. Go there with your eyes closed.Dany

Cozy rooms, beautiful green area. Very friendly hosts. You can rent a bike. There is a 7/11 a couple minutes walk away. There is a restaurant on site where you can have a delicious breakfast. There are also many cafes and restaurants nearby. We rented two rooms with friends, we liked everything very much, we recommend it.

Small cozy hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The area is green. Delicious breakfasts, you can rent a bike or call a taxi. Near 7/11 and many cafes. The owners are great. I recommend!

We took a room for 4 nights and we are more than satisfied. Large, very clean room with air conditioning, impeccable service and ideal environment for enjoying nearby restaurants and shops.Possibility of renting a scooter on site which is very practical for moving around as you wish. This is a niche garden-style hotel not far from the seaside. We stayed here for three consecutive days and I wanted to stay, but the room was fully booked. We loved it here and the breakfast was delicious. Oliver and Natasha were very friendly and welcoming, we will be back. You must keep driving it for a long time~

We stayed 4 nights and we did not regret our choice: cozy garden, clean and large room, fridge, air conditioning...Charming hosts.Almost new scooter rental, at a fair price.Impeccable location.In short, we will come back without any problem.

Our favorite place to have breakfast is with Natasha and Oliver at the Jop hotel in Kai Bae. The breakfast is fantastically delicious and you are always greeted with a smile. Cozy atmosphere and the owners are always open for a chat and good ideas for excursions. We popped in for a breakfast and hired motorcycles from Oliver and Natasha. The food was very nice and hiring motorcycles was easy and straight forward. The bikes were kept in a good condition and Oliver even didn't request any deposit. We were very happy and if we come back to Koh Chang, we will use JOP again.

It's a shame not to make the reservation before, but I travel like this and I was left without being able to enjoy what the owner Oliver very kindly taught me and informed me about. The entire complex is extremely well cared for, the rooms are huge with pleasant decoration and the interior garden is in harmony. Next time I'll make a reservation. . My friend and I stayed here for a week. The location is amazing and the hosts are very nice and take care of everything.They also rent out motorbikes and have amazing breakfast!

We stayed here for a week and loved it. The family room is a really good size and very clean. The owners are so kind, generous and helpful. They offered loads of recommendations during our stay and also arranged taxis for us. The breakfast is delicious and fresh, served from 7.30am. The location is so convenient for restaurants and cafes, we especially recommend Chang Yes, Mordi E Fuggi, El Barrio and The Mount. Secluded beach is 5 mins walk down the road. Definitely book here if you come to Koh Chang.
