Musty rooms, we had to change because the air conditioning was broken. But I think it's very cheap and you can live with it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more than adequate

I was there with my family. We found the hotel quite okay. The blanket in the bathroom was wet, there were blood stains on the bed/duvet and towels, the cleaner was unfriendly and laughed when there was nothing to laugh about. They also knock even though you haven't hung anything out and sometimes very early when you're probably still asleep (for us at 9:20 a.m.). Breakfast is so okay you can eat. Overall it's okay for the price.

First of all, it is not the first time that I have stayed at the Bampu Resort. The last time I was there was in 2014. Back then the price was unbeatable in relation to the rooms and the location.Normally we don't book hotel rooms in advance, but rather look at them and book them if we like them. One evening before the crossing from Koh Kut to Koh Chang we decided to book the hotel a day in advance (because we were already there). Unfortunately, a lot has changed since then.We booked a room in the bungalow wing. When we arrived we were told that it was already occupied but that we would get an “upgrade” for it. But this wasn't really an upgrade. The room smelled of mold, the toilets weren't clean, but most of all I was bothered by the many stains on the bedsheet. Even the sea view couldn't make up for this. So I decided to change rooms without further ado. The staff showed understanding and offered us a new room. At first glance it didn't seem bad. There is a little smell of mold, but I can understand that given the climatic conditions (often the AC). However, upon second glance, the shower curtain was also covered in mold, the wood was partially riddled with woodworms (bathroom area) and there was also a cockroach running around in the bathroom. The sheets in this room were also not clean. After we discussed the problem again, the employees seemed dismissive. We then left the hotel early after one night. By the way, a refund is not possible.We have stayed in many 3 star hotels in Thailand, often at cheaper prices. Therefore, in my opinion, I cannot recommend this hotel, despite the perhaps "great location". There are far better hotels on Koh Chang. In the rainy season you can easily look for them locally. Regardless, Koh Chang is a really beautiful island that I would love to return to.

Although it was reasonably priced, it was a good hotel with a resort feel. The pool was small, but it didn't bother me because the beach was right in front of me. The breakfast was also delicious and satisfying. The parking lot is narrow, so please be careful if you come by car.

The accommodation is worth the price. The service is also lovely for the foreign staff. The location is next to the road, can walk to get food, not far from the beach, good atmosphere, but in front of the beach there are rocks, there is a swing under the trees, comfortable to sit and chill, but during high tide it is not very clean. Plus, during the rainy season, there are plastic bottle scraps floating around. I don't know if this is the responsibility of the hotel or not. But at the beachfront of other hotels, there's no confusion. I saw some tourists walking around collecting trash too. Looking at it makes me feel sorry for you.

With that view from my room...there cannot be, absolutely cannot be any complaints whatsoever. The balcony was bigger than the room, and every afternoon or evening during high tide, the water almost reached the landing just below the balcony. I can still hear the waves splashing almost right next to my bed! A very sumptuous and well varied breakfast - the restaurant is very good. The staff are always helpful. The location is wonderful, right near two seven elevens and a huge Makro food store. Everything is nearby. It is clean and well maintained other than a few slips here and there. If you're heading to Koh Chang and looking for within budget accommodation, Banpu should be in your mind. And, do ask for the ground floor rooms with sea view.

Nice hotel right on the beach.The bungalow is very spacious and clean.No water sports so it is quiet.You can find everything you need in the area (5 minutes).
