I did not stay at the resort. I went to the beach. A dive shop recommended it as a good place to snorkel. For a beach snorkel, it was great. The beach is small. There was no one there when i went.To get to it from Pattaya beach you go over a bridge which is difficult to locate. I included a picture. Find bridge near the water and work your way back to chareena resort to find entrance. Or you can walk around and it takes about 15 minutes with lots of hills.

We visited this beach last December and swam, snorkeled and had drinks at the resort. The beach here is beautiful. So, I took a few friends there today, but I didn’t expect that when we were about to arrive at the resort after walking on the plank road, a man stood on a tree across the road and said to us: No entry! When we asked what the reason was, he just yelled rudely: If you can't enter, you can't enter... But we did not see the sign that the beach here is privately owned...

!!AVOID THIS PLACE!!Premise: All beaches in Thailand are deemed to be public land. In many answers of the reviews the owner also says that “everyone is welcome at Sanom Beach”.Specification: there were no beds or any kind of other structure on the beach + there was not a single client, so we wouldn’t have used their space. We arrived at the beach, willing to relax on a PUBLIC SPACE and buy a drink or some food from the resort for lunch. We didn’t even touch the sand that a rude lady from the terrace started shouting at us that the BEACH WAS PRIVATE and we had to go away. She mentioned a “private property” sign at the entrance, so we went away thinking that we maybe didn’t see it and that she could actually own that beach. On our way back we checked on every corner for the sign, but we never found it.We didn’t go back because we didn’t want to argue with that lady, and it wouldn’t have been a pleasant stay anyway.I hope nobody chooses to go to her place so she can be happy ;)Please take some time to read the other 1 star reviews.

Disgusted, the woman at the restaurant treated us badly,we just arrive there and she yelled at us to leave her private property (there is no sign that says that). We would have bought some beers and food, but with this attitude the only thing she earns is a bad review. There's a lot of rubbish in the small street to arrive there too.I hope people stay away from this resort, now I understand why there's a lot of bad reviews.

UPDATED: The owner of this European resort does not allow you to use “her” beach.——————I ATTACH PHOTOS AS EVIDENCE: Since it doesn't allow me to answer, I update so that you don't take anything out of context and everything is very clear:We were on the SAND of the beach under the SHADE OF A TREE when this LADY tried to throw us out in a bad manner saying that we were bothering the potential clients of the sun loungers (there was no one) by using the public sand of a public beach. This lady is using the public area used by EVERYONE to put furniture from her hotel and using that as an excuse she says that the hotel facilities are not respected. Which is a LIE since she is the one who does not respect the PUBLIC AREAS AND BEACHES of the island. Also there we all spoke Catalan, we are almost from the same town as this lady. Considering that no one understood us because we were not using either English or Thai to communicate, she screamed for help from her Thai husband, inventing that we had disrespected her. This caused her husband to confront us and on top of that he threatened us by saying that he would make us return to the main beach, forcing us to go through the water (since unfortunately the path to get to this beach passes through a corner of his neglected property).I am not an influencer, I create content for companies, generally hotels. I will explain the difference to you so that it is clear as well and in the process you learn something today:I take photos and videos that I sell to companies and hotels for them to use on their social networks or other platforms. I do not use my “influence” I take photos and videos so that companies like yours have material with which to promote their products and facilities on social networks and other platforms.I wish you a lot of peace, which is what you need.

We stayed at Sanom after few days at castaway, both were great and have their own charm. For Sanom: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1. Location is the best on the island.2. Room itself was OK, beach front was stunning, one of the best views I have ever had sleeping next to the beach.3. Hotel staff were friendly and took care of us, small things like incense against mosquitoes was provided.4. We were able to go watch sunsets on the other side of the island as it was 3 minutes walk.5. The resort is 10 minutes from the walking street but it was quiet and nice during night.6. We even saw bioluminescent planktons - amazing!7. Seats were reserved for us as resort guests, what secured for us the best spots.Best value for money i have ever had. I would probably have paid more if rooms were more equipped.. the potential is huge. Will come back for sure.💖

We had an absolutely mesmerising 4 nights at Sanom beach, which is arguably the nicest beach on Koh Lipe. It's separated from the main beach (and therefore a lot quieter) but easily accessible via a little boardwalk between the 2 beaches, by boat taxi, or via the main road. The property is owned by a lovely local, which unfortunately is rare on the island. He managed, together with the western manager, to keep big resorts at bay while the rest of the island is getting more and more developed. It's incredible value for money. Beachfront bungalows at a fraction of the price you'd get anywhere else on the island. They manage to keep these prices by only taking direct bookings, so head to the website for a great deal! The rooms are basic but comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is that they don't have air-conditioning, and the beds are slightly on the small side (however we're both 1.80/ 1.85 cm tall...). But all that is forgotten once you see the unspoiled views and friendly staff. We left after 4 nights as we'd booked our final 2 nights on the island at Serendipity resort, which was also great but secretly still left us longing for Sanom beach.Thank you Cheng and Mariona! Sending love from Amsterdam and hope to see you again :)
