We loved it! More than a resort it seems like a retreat, from the first moment with the pleasant reception and welcome drink. All staff are extremely friendly. The restaurant/deck is a fantasy. The food was wonderful (the local dishes even better!) And we loved the houses, it wasn't our honeymoon but it seemed like it :) They are very well made, with traditional materials and techniques, they are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We were in a "breezy" and it was fantastic. We extended our stay twice. We also spent 1 night in a Seafront but in our opinion it is not worth it, it was smaller and less quiet. We checked out other accommodations on Koh Lipe and Castaway was by far the best in this price category.It's true that the open bathroom thing is a little strange, but you get used to it. Inside the house there was zero mosquito problem, but the moment you go out on the porch they eat you alive. The prices of the restaurant and the Dive Shop are a little more expensive than in other places on the island, but the good service and the good price of the accommodation make up for it.

Accommodation with an island feel Next to Sunrise Beach You can walk to swim right in front of the beach. White sand beach, clear, beautiful green water. There is a Somtam noodle shop at the entrance to the accommodation, not far from the walking street. We came during the low season (early September, during the monsoon season). The accommodation prices are very cheap, more than worth it. There are a lot of boats moored during the low season, but it's beautiful. The accommodation is a compact wooden house on a raised platform. The landing has a hammock tied up for sleeping in front of the room and 2 chairs to sit on. Some are 2 stories. The interior is simply decorated, with 1 ceiling fan, but if it's really hot, you can ask for an additional fan at the reception. There is a mosquito net, but it floats a bit. The mattress is nice and soft. The bathroom lighting is a little low. The shower is a rain shower. Our room didn't have a bidet. Come stay and you won't be disappointed. Recommended.

2 words: just amazing. The staff is the most friendly one u can imagine, the restaurant, the cabins and the beach area are really lovely. And guys, the drinks and the food will blow your minds. Would give 7 stars if possible 😉 just inside the cabine the mosquito plague was a real challenge, would have been great to get better nets or something. Nevertheless, a place to be and to stay. P.S. on most pics is my family therefore I only post 2 of them.

Beautiful resort on sunrise beach. The two-story wooden huts in the middle of many plants offer a beautiful jungle atmosphere. Price-performance ratio is really great. The rooms are cleaned every day and the towels are always replaced. The beds on the first floor are very comfortable and also have their own mosquito net. There is a rain shower and a toilet on the ground floor, although the toilet is not separated, but the shower has a curtain. The restaurant is right on the beach and actually has everything you need, although the prices were a bit expensive and the portions were quite small in my opinion, but the taste was great. If I come to Koh Lipe again, I will definitely come here again.

No words to describe this resort!!! I was bored back in the city and booked a flight to koh lipe at midnight and this magical place around 4,5 in the am and they confirmed my booking so fast for me!!! The restaurant is definitely a vibe and the service is a bonus. The rooms are for sure comfortable. For a solo person, the whole of koh lipe felt so safe and enjoyed every moment here!! Loved Castaway, i recommend this resort very highly!!!

A beautiful place with good general space. The restaurant is a nice place with friendly staff. The rooms were warm and not waterproof in the rain. The result was a lot of mosquitoes and wet stuff.

Great place! We are very pleased with our stay :) The food and drinks in the restaurant are delicious. Service at the highest level. Very nice and cozy houses, close to everything. Additionally, you can rent a kayak/snorkeling equipment/sup. The only minus - no air conditioning, there are 2 fans in the bedroom, but it was very hot at night. We liked it so much that we extended our stay by one night :) I recommend it!

Great vibe, clean bungalow, keeps its original charm. How Lipe used to be years ago. Restaurant has great food, a bit pricey for that you get, but it's location is spot on.

Second time staying here and I loved every minute. I stayed in the Beachfront Breezy Bungalow and woke up to the sunrise from my balcony. The view is breathtaking. The food is so fresh and delicious and staff is extremely friendly. Can’t wait to come back :)

I really like it. It's a peaceful place to stay. Focuses on genuine nature. Went to stay in a beach front room, Big Beach Front Breezy, with the balcony overlooking the blue sea. The water is very clear and beautiful. I like that there isn't a lot of decoration, leaving the cell phone behind, allowing people who come to stay to fully immerse themselves in nature. Lying down listening to the sound of the waves Wake up to see the sunrise in front of the room. I'm very impressed. Good service staff, delicious foodOn site there is a dive shop that rents equipment for both snorkeling and scuba diving. The service team is good, friendly, very impressed. Definitely have to go back again.This place is amazing! Quiet, filled with nature and good vibes! More like a hidden gems on Koh Lipe, mostly are foreigners around. If you're looking for a place to sit back peacefully, get away from social media, drink some fresh juice while looking at the beach you gotta come here, I highly recommend!Besides where to stay, they also have Castaway Diver inside the resort. If you want to learn scuba diving or just wanna do snorkeling, this place also has it ready for you. Don't forget to try it because it's a must I'm telling you :)

Enjoyed staying here, great location only a few meters from the beach.High tide laps against the bottom of the resort meaning you’re pretty much into 1/2 meter of water and can’t walk the beach at this time. This is the same for most of the resorts on this beach.I’ve rated the rooms 4/5 as the rooms looked amazing but were quite dark.Again not just this resort but probably most on the island, mosquitos savaged me.

The service is superb. Most people at the reception can understand and speak English and are very helpful with answering our questions. The resort is on the beach so you can just open your room door, walk a few steps and jump into the sea. The resort is also located near the Walking Street (quite strategic since all the shops, restaurant and 7E are there). The only thing I don't like is that the room is quite hot during the day (the room only has fans, no AC)

Back beach, noise from a ship with diesel engines without exhaust from which oil dripped into the sea, considerable mess around. The rooms and cabins are somewhat "spartan" and worn. (absence of air conditioning does not apply) When it rained, it flowed inside. We wouldn't go there a second time and we're used to a lot of things.
