NAGA Frontier Suite Hotel

Everything is good here, but the only drawback is the breakfast buffet. The breakfast time is a bit late at 7 o'clock... Everything is good except this. The room is really spacious.

Clean and quiet hotel with lots to see around it

Looks luxury until you look most closer.Stayed in the apartments but it's the same building and same rooms. Can't remember exactly but the first few floors are staff, Chinese corporation (maybe the building owner), breakfast area and pool.The next group of floors, 5-12 I think is the hotel rooms and anything above that are apartments.Arrival, first arrival you see a nice big building that looks new on the outside. The lobby is all tiled with a refined marble appearance with a small sitting area across from the lobby desk. Not a 5 Star look but nice enough for a once over, say a decent 3 star hotel.The staff at the desk were very pleasant and were always this way our entire stay. Always quick to look up and always smiling. One of the staff I believe is Chinese and only spoke Chinese, we still spoke English and Thai.Next we go to the elevator and head to the 16th floor. After a few days of listening to the same 40 second Beethoven clip in the elevator for a few days it can drive you crazy enough to want to take the stairs.Room was nice enough on the first glance but after some time in the room and looking everything over it's down to a 2 Star hotel needing quality work done. Here are the bad things noticed over the course of our 5 days.Poorly patched water leaks everywhere, outside coming in, inside from the floor above, in the shower, in the toilet area, in the kitchen....you get the drift. Mold growing on the wall from the water leaking and covered with a new piece of wallpaper. Didn't work and it was like a science experiment growing. We actually didn't notice this till time to leave.Grout in tiles, missing in the floors, bathrooms, lobby's, hallways...it's like someone tried to grout but didn't know how and they just left it. Makes the tile lines look horribly dirty.Access panels left open, cabinets that open to the wall, repairs that looked like a glob of something was placed to cover something bad...there is a lot of this in this "luxury" building.The mall next door has a few shops but the second floor and everything above that is mostly empty. There is a decent store to get some food but that's about all the mall was good for. The 24hr store outside the building was quite nice though!We didn't try the breakfast but it looked closed in and not really inviting. The pool outside was nice but we only walked around it for 2 minutes.Location:The location was ok getting a taxi everywhere but honestly you could stay closer downtown for cheaper and a much nicer place where you can walk if you wanted. Everything around this building appears Chinese as well as the guests and businesses. The Laos folks were awesome but we didn't feel invited most other places so we stayed around the downtown areas.The great things we found staying here.Taxi ride could have us about anywhere in a few minutes.There are a couple really awesome places to eat that you can walk to outside of the empty malls nearby.The bed slept like we were on a cloud ...how they miss all the building quality but nailed the bed is beyond me.Coffee shop down and across the street is delicious.Street vendors with the most amazing bread within walking distance.The view from our balcony was pretty amazing.The hot water and water pressure was outstanding as well.Overall I would not recommend staying here, too many other places in more convenient areas that are more friendly, accommodating and close to everything.

Rooms are good, wide enough and nice facilities. This hotel offers pools, Gym and breakfast. But the buffet breakfast has no variety of choices. And only one or two persons can speak English.You can't order any foods from the room for they have no food menus except breakfast time.

Went on 23/01/67, a Chinese hotel, the front spoke Chinese, we just talked in Thai👍 The room has a kitchen, sink, big refrigerator, big dining table. The ceiling collapsed from water leaking in the room above. But there is no water leak. The next room was cooking and the smell of fried food was floating through the ceiling..😂 Clean pillows, blankets, clean bathroom🍞 The restaurant is very small. little dining table Sitting huddled together Some people have to share a table. The food is Chinese food. There is a small menu to choose from. 😥There is bread but no butter. There's only sweet jam. Mini 1.5 inch sausage. If I could choose personally, I would go somewhere else. This trip was chosen by someone else😁
