I was surprised that there was a place like this in the city. The staff was friendly and the location was great. It is a paradise in the jungle. The facilities are a bit oldIt wasn't inconvenient. I'll come back again.

Quaint and local. Everything works in my little clean room in this wooden duplex. The place is green with some overgrowth, and birds chirping in the morning. Bring a book and read in silence. Very near the Mekong river bank and the heritage and food hubs on the other side.

Local style rooms Went to the first room, the air conditioner was not cool, but the staff were very good, changed the room for a younger man, the service was very good, if Grandma was clear and cute.

An oasis. That sums it up. For me it's been No. 1 in Vientiane for years. There are a few things to complain about, but overall I can only recommend staying here.

Incredible value for a rustic, quiet stay in the heart of Vientiane!Each villa is two units, with your own patio to lounge on. There's maybe 10 or 12 units total, so definitely not busy.On a quiet side street, but just minutes to all the other streets with those skinny tower hotels!

Everything was as represented. The internet doesn't have highspeed bandwidth. So if you plan on working online, streaming video, or gaming good luck. There's a lot to do in the area. It's a nice setting located close to restaurants, coffee shops, and the Mekong River. It's clean, with toiletries, coffee, tea, water, and such. The a/c worked well, but I shut it off and used just the overhead fan, as I don't often use a/c finding it a hindrance to becoming acclimated, as I spend half the year in SEA. The nearby large night market is mostly clothes, and Chinese made trinkets, with a few local art and craft sellers. There's no food to speak of, maybe 10 drink sellers that have a few snacks.

I loved staying here. The wooden chalets are located in beautiful gardens providing a cool, green oasis that could be enjoyed from the table and chairs on the viranda. The room was comfortable, well designed with mossie screens,, air con and fan, well supplied, and cleaned daily. The manager spoke excellent English and was very helpful. There was some music from nearby establishments but I didn't find it intrusive.

The location is very good, which is a quiet small courtyard amidst the noise. Walking to night markets and attractions is very convenient, and there are also many delicious French restaurants nearby. The front desk staff are enthusiastic and professional, recommended to friends who come to Vientiane.

I was really looking forward to staying here as I stayed in a ‘traditional’ style house once in Cambodia and enjoyed it. Unfortunately I didn’t really enjoy this experience.Firstly the inside doesn’t match the exterior, there is no wood on the inside and it looks and feels like you’re just staying in a normal small hotel room. The bathroom certainly didn’t encourage you to stay in there longer than necessary, however my main complaint is the noise. I had room number 1 which is right by the road with a couple of restaurants opposite. The windows don’t have any glass, just wooden shutters and a mosquito net so you could clearly hear the people in them. If you had one of the other rooms further back this probably wouldn’t be an issue except that somewhere nearby is a bar playing loud music until quite late. It wouldn’t matter which room you were in you would hear it. There is of course nothing the hotel can do about that but they could have made the walls a bit thicker so that you don’t hear your neighbour coughing. The fact that they provide ear plugs by the bed is an acknowledgment of the problem.On the plus side the staff’s English is mostly good and one young lad is fluent. They also serve a traditional breakfast on your verandah which I thought was a nice touch. Overall though I don’t think I would use again if I returned to Vientiane

Small but very clean room and bathroom. Mattress was slightly softer than you are normally used to in Laos and then, at least I, sleep a lot more soundly. Breakfast is Laotian. Chicken soup with rice takes some getting used to but is certainly tasty.Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bungalows are all built of wood in the Laotian style. There is a lovely terrace overlooking the garden. All bungalows are embedded in the well-kept garden! A little oasis. The complex is located in the middle of the trendy district of Vientiane and the night market is 300m away. It can be loud at night, but it doesn't have to be loud; the hotel provides free ear plugs for that. The rooms are relatively small and not mosquito proof! The beds are fine. Warm water for showering is only available in the morning! We still liked it.

Very good location. However, the bar nearby somehow destroyed the peace of the villa in the evening.Nice garden and rooms.The receptionist was friendly and nice!The room price was high (because of Xmas?) without the breakfast.Still, I enjoyed the garden here!
