We stayed there for three days in January '24 to take it easy and it was the perfect place for us.The houses and rooms on stilts are an architectural relief: Thai and also contemporary. Very attractively decorated. Everything is chill there. The owners, their roosters and dogs. There are many rest areas in the garden and on the covered terrace. Delicious bean coffee.We rented 2 mountain bikes and a moped, an ideal way to visit the tourist attractions in the area and explore the countryside. The equipment was in order, maintained, the bicycles were adjusted to our height (1.94 and 1.76). The owner asked what we ate to coordinate breakfast. We had a delicious, very extensive Thai breakfast.There were few mosquitoes. There was no mosquito net or mosquito screen in the room. There was some traffic noise but that didn't matter to us. The green oasis, the chilled place and many birds more than compensated for that.Owners were very helpful in arranging transportation and picking us up at Baan Tako junction.

I stayed here again early November 2023 & caught up with everyone there again for a "send off" party for my mates wife who is now the 'matriarch' of the family who own this place.She was flying back to Australia next few days.., please check our my previous review in May 2023...It breaks my heart to have to tell this story however, I don't want anyone to have to experience what happened to me this last trip.I visited one of the owners cousins who was in Buriram hospital on day 2 of my 10 day stay, I unknowingly came back with COVID..! No big deal right..?!?We all live with it now days & can travel anywhere in world with covid & what made it worse was I had zero symptoms...One of the 'family' members of the resort, his wife heard about my visit to Buriram hospital & came down to see me in her official government uniform that same evening& demanded that I do a covid test in front of her..!I thought ok, whatever..., I'll play along & did the test, it was positive...!I was immediately asked to leave the common area, not to speak to or interact with the one other 'foreign' guest & his family who was apparently part of the Swiss embassy to Thailand... but no one else was at the resort apart from myself & my driver...I was told to stay in my room & don't come out... yep, just unbelievable right..!I was treated like dirt from that moment on...I left the next morning after 2 nights of a 10 day stay & was charged full freight on the booking which i refused to pay...I'll never go back there in a million years & would advise any foreign tourist to avoid this place at all costs...!!!FYI... wild dogs wander in & out of this place around meal times, most with the mange, & huge open weeping sores & god knows what other diseases but they get to walk around freely while I was confined to my room...Stay here at your own peril is my advice & if they come at you with a Rapid Antigen Test run..!You will be disappointed & heartbroken like i was...it's not the fun place that I remember & now that im back on Aus my mates wife has not said a word to me, het 'head in the sand' kind if thing hoping I might go away...Such is Life..!

Stayed in room c05 b01 , b03...disappointedThe page, the picture in google map doesn't quite match the cover, old, musty, dirty room (dirty rating: room 8/10, condition around the house 8/10) .... Unfortunately, opening the room to find the TV, lights, and fan turned on, and the last one was on the sheets. There is sand...When entering the resort, I saw a car driving out of the room b01,b03. I guess I didn't clean it in time or not. But we checked in at 4 p.m. and it was still good. The staff were happy to provide the change service.**The house has some chickens raised. I can't help but want to wake up late...it's 3 a.m.**

The design is beautiful, but it's a mess to clean. Directly in front of the room would be good too. A small bed for 2 people is priced at 600 baht. If you stay alone, it's comfortable.

Loved this place..! From the owners there, Tung & Meow to Thip the house maid... they all made it feel like home for me, nothing's a problem & I can't wait to get back there for another hug... 😀 It ain't the Sheraton, that's for sure which is fine by me & what you see is what you get, no pretence & a whole bunch of smiling faces... Khob khun ma krub guys... 🙏

Raw natural style, inexpensive price, breakfast included. Overall, good, good place to stay before traveling to Khao Phanom Rung.
