Excellent location right along the 'tourist strip'. I chose it because it was in an old traditional building, rather than in a modern concrete thing. Room prices are posted outside, and the room was perfectly fine for the price. WiFi was poor, but just a few doors down, the Geko cafe had by far the best WiFi in town.

Basic and old rooms, but you probably won't find a cheaper bed.
They play really loud, annoying Western pop music with heavy bass at random times which can make it difficult to relax.

Insanely cheap rooms relative to hostels in town you can get a double with A/C and en-suite for the same price. Certainly can’t complain. Admittedly the decor is outdated but functionally and considering the price point it is great.

Room with shared bathroom: 80,000 LAK.Ideally located on the main street of Huay Sai. The building is a little tired but the rooms are clean.The one at the back overlooks the Mekong. Small terrace at the back with a view of the river.The boss is very friendly and offers coffee. He also drove us to the station with his car for 50,000 LAK per person, the price of a tuk-tuk.A good address.

Its a nice place. Mama and miss Money were very good to me. When Covid hit I ended up locked down in this little town.Mama speaks fluent English and I always enjoyed having coffee with her at daybreak. Most people only stay a few days and catch the 2 day river ride except me lol I was there for close to 5 months and no tourists. Theres rooms for all budgets and i really look forward to returning after covid

Perfect to stay a night or two before or after the Gibbon Experience. The Ladie is a real business woman, you have to adapt to her being, but she's actually really nice, we had a lot of fun, joking around 👍🏻 She will always give you the cheapest price for everything 😂 and be angry if you don't buy from her haha. We said "oh sorry" she said "not sorry me sorry you" and damn actually she was right haha. Beds were pretty allright and food was good aswell!

Bed bugs! We found bed bugs in our bed, and decided not to stay. It was 23 at night and she just got angry, and wouldn’t give us our money back. We went to another hostel, same price, much cleaner.

Cheapest place to stay and eat, but visit the rooms and check the mattress. Some are cleaner than others. We could feel all the springs in our mattress, if you're cozy it can be very annoying but personally I still slept well. The facilities are very old but functional. The ladies, moreover very friendly, have a sense of business. They take a commission of 40,000 kip on the price of the slow boat ticket but still offer transport by touktouk to the pier. If you like to be taken care of that's okay. Do not try to negotiate with them, they are touchy on this point where it is part of the charade to end the negotiation because they will not hold it against you afterwards. But once again it's the cheapest in the village (at least, the cheapest than the cheapest seen on booking before our arrival): 80,000kip or around 8€/8USD at the time.

Booked a minivan to Chiang Rai through this place. I was told when we crossed the border someone would be waiting for us but we had to wait for over an hour for them to show up. I was also told that we would be dropped in the centre of the city but we got dropped on a dark street 6km away from the city. Wouldn't recommend
