I would like to give this place a good review. The owner is lovely. The room is nice (taking into account the tight spiral staircase down to the bathroom as mentioned by others), strong hot water in the shower. Convenient location near the national park. The "american" breakfast is a strange mix, nice egg and avo and bread, but the cheap thai mayonnaise was an abomination. We had to sleep wearing all of our warm clothes as the room is not heated and they only supply one small thin blanket. All of that would have been ok, but the whole experience is ruined by the thick toxic smoke from smouldering garbage fires around the town. The smoke from the immediate neighbour's garbage pile blew in our direction all night. We went and checked it out and would have doused the smouldering heap if we'd have found a bucket nearby. I felt sorry for the owner's infant baby breathing in that smoke every day. I know this is a common problem in Thai communities but there are solutions. The residents just need to decide to act, and if people stay away because of reading this review, maybe that provides a good incentive for the owner to talk to her neighbours and find a sensible way to deal with their garbage.

We paid $80 night for a bamboo shack with a small bathroom below. We got there and couldn't find the owner for quite a while. To be clear, this is not in the national park proper. It is in the middle of a village with lots of light pollution and plastic covered agriculture everywhere.

Great place, the lady’s can’t speak English that well, but that doesn’t matter. They are very friendly, delicious breakfast. The room was very clean. The waterfall picture is a waterfall nearby 6 min with motor.

My partner and I were staying in Chiang Mai but as it got dark we thought it was safer to stay up the mountain instead of going down in the dark. The owner was so friendly and showed us the place, the tents were really nice and the high huts as well. Unfortunately I didn't bring contact lenses for the next day so we had to leave, as the top village has no luxury products like that. Although the plan was never to stay in the national park, we were really sad we had to leave. Very nice, cosy, romantic place with chill vibes. Recommend!
