I booked a room without seeing thereviews because it was so cheap;fortunately, I only booked for one night. The owner is not approachable and it appears that you owe herfor sleeping in her rooms; the way sheinteracts with me is not pleasant. And she only use online booking apps formarketing, she will tell you to cancel it andcharge you more than the app price. This old lady need a character development and need to be reported in their tourism office 😂

I read the review online after booking. Imagined North Stat Guess house can't be that bad.I arrived, the lady receptionist/owner unfortunately is a bad person. She is rude, impatient, not cooperative and raises her voice frequently. I don't get irritated or offended, I just laugh. Then she gets angry for me laughing. The rooms are fine for what you pay. Little private toilet and shower looks old but it's clean. The toilet gets soaked during showers. I had no AC, only a fan.The receptionist/owner talks loud and makes much noise early in the mornings, so I woke up every morning around 8:00.

Auntie says dogs don't bite. Booked on website A and won't let me stay.On the website it says air conditioned room. Enter the room and there is only a fan. With the condition of the motel room, it still looks better. How dare you open it up, fooling people all day long with foreigners? If you could call the child, you would have already called.

It's so bad that I don't want to give it one star. It doesn't live up to the cover. How can I care about this auntie? I don't know if it's the owner or what. With foreigners, it's almost completely folded. With Thai people, they talk like dogs and don't bite. So brave to open a hotel The price of the app tells you about the air conditioned room. Arrived and was told it was a fan room. And there's hardly anything ready. The size of the picture still doesn't match the cover. They almost didn't let me stay even though I booked on the app.Because Uncle Lowtechno will make you dizzy. Anyone who comes will come, but in this life I won't step on this shitty hotel again.

Stayed here in February of this year, I made a reservation for a six-night stay at North Star Guest House with the Double Fan room. The room was nothing like what was advertised by Agoda, the room had a musty odour from mould, potentially hazardous to those who have allergies. The layout made no sense, with the shower positioned above the toilet, making its use impossible.Don't expect room cleaning, when I asked for it the old lady and son kicked up a fuss. And only agreed to offer cleaning for one day. This wasn't such a big deal, regrettably I decided to give the guest house one more chance and booked the air-conditioned double bedroom. While initially willing to tolerate these inconveniences, the situation escalated dramatically on my last day.Upon being confronted about bringing my bicycle into the guest house, a rule never mentioned during my stay or check in. When I returned to my room to take a shower, the old lady knocked on my door, then entered my room without my permission. She then accused me of damaging the room's wall with my bicycle. I denied this, and asked her to leave my room. When I returned to the guest house a few hours later, I was then subjected to threats and insults from the old lady's son, including intimidation tactics and a visit from the police if I did not give them money.Feeling unsafe and threatened, I made the decision to relocate to another guest house. However, the situation further escalated when the owners prevented me from retrieving my belongings, and then involved the police while accusing me of damages I did not commit. The ensuing ordeal, lasted 4 hours at the police station. I guess they wanted to solicit money from me for the damages I was accused of. This came to a dead end. And the police captain allowed me to collect my bike. The mother and son still demanded an apology and wanted to film me getting on my knees Thai style and waiing, but I refused.Given the hostile and threatening behaviour exhibited by the owners. I am deeply shocked by this and would ask guests to be cautious. Please do your research before booking, and do not trust reviews on Agoda. Google reviews is much more reliable. There are two guest houses with a similar name, North Star guest house and Top North guest house. Don't get confused between the two like I did, Top North is much more better, with decent and sane owners.I have also included photos of the damages I was accused of.

Reserve a room with air conditioning but get a fan. The owner is very, very bad. She is an aunt who scolds customers from the first step into the accommodation. I made a reservation with Secret. The advertisement and the actual accommodation do not match the cover at all. Said that there are air conditioned rooms in every room. But when I actually got there, there was nothing at all. In addition, he was scolded in return with vulgar words. It's like I came to their house and slept for free. But pay in full. Yelling at you like a pig or a dog. (Ouch, crazy old man.) I'm sorry, I'm a little carried away. But the owner is really bad, really bad, really bad, bad like I've never seen before. Tell the reason and tell what conveniences there are inside. But she told me to secretly take the blame myself. In conclusion, I was scolded until I had to leave the accommodation. Because I really can't stand nervous people like this. In the next life Don't ever meet a person like this again. Amen. What really hurts is being scolded without doing anything wrong. Normally I am a very talkative person. When I talked to my aunt, she spoke nicely, but I got scolded and yelled at. I was confused. There are people like this in the world too. P.S. Whoever wants to stay here, think carefully. But if you like being scolded, just stay.

Most of the time, it felt like a ghost town because no one was there, not even the host. Rooms were ok for the price.

I must be one of the few that had a somewhat pleasant stay and had nothing but friendly interactions with the owner over my 2 weeks.Positives- Rooms are cheap- Wifi was fast- Hot water was strong- Location is smack bang in the middle of town- Generally a quiet area with no dogs barking or loud cars behind the odd took took.- Secure and safe feeling accommodation- No bedbugs or insects in my room, bathroom had a mosquito meshing.Negatives- Rooms are poorly ventilated, dark and only have windows facing into the corridor. During the day they will bake to 40c and only have a fan. Good outside area though- Walls are paper thin so you can easily hear coughing, talking or intimacy in other rooms- No room accessories like a jug or tv.- Sheets need bleaching but we're clean- Moderate bass Noise from Techno club 12am-4am some distance awayIf you only need a basic room to stay a couple of nights and are out during the day it's acceptable. No doubt better accommodation around but I didn't find it as bad as some have reviewed.

We've tried a lot of hostels in Thailand and this was by far the most disgusting. There were blood (or feces?) stains everywhere on the bedsheet, there was a smell of mold in the bathroom and there was only one window that faced the hallway. As a result, the room was always 40 degrees, even when it cooled down outside at night. We then asked whether an upgrade to a room with air conditioning was possible. The owner quoted an outrageous price and quickly became rude and sent us away. The bathroom was tiny, we couldn't even sit normally on the toilet because it was right against the wall. There was virtually no shower; you either showered in the toilet or squeezed in front of a small sink. There are also masses of ants running through the bathroom, often even into the room.Afterwards we also discovered bites from bed bugs on our bodies - so all in all: you'd better look for another hostel. In addition, a review via Booking was not made possible by the hostel: I have a guess why ;)
