I wish i read the reviews before booking the Manik Toya. We stayed 3 nights at this place thinking that for what we were paying, we will be getting a great hotel. The rooms and the location are good, but as many people said in the reviews, there is a club just in front of the hotel that plays EXTREMELY loud music until late hours, it feels like you’re part of the nightclub. Additionally, the website mentioned that they have massage and they’ve never promote this while staying there. The front office guy offered us a scooter much more expensive than other renting places. Non sustainable at all either: they should offer at least somewhere were to re-fill your bottle, but instead they provide you with two small bottles (330cc) every day, which makes rubbish. I am pretty sure it will be cheaper for them to just have a filling station. I won’t stay again in this place.

DON'T GO IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. The open nightclub in front some days plays the music at full blast until 4am, it seems like the speaker is inside the room. The shower drain at the other end of the bathroom is all wet. Broken toilet seat. The wifi works when it wants. Very expensive for what it is.

If I could give 0, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. This structure does not deserve even the shadow of a star. Here is my experience:- **Structure:** A real disaster. The rooms are a nightmare: cracks on the walls, mold everywhere, and a bathroom that looks like it was built by someone who has never seen a functioning bathroom. The shower is a joke, completely open and with the drain on the other side of the bathroom, meaning a constantly flooded floor and a persistent sewage smell that makes the stay unbearable.- *Service: Non-existent, and this is already a compliment. At check-in, we were faced with a sign warning of the absence of staff for "lunch break". When they finally deigned to show up, they were already an hour late! What about customer service? Forget it. I have sent countless messages on WhatsApp without ever receiving a reply. Not one, EVER!- Cleanliness: The word "dirty" is a euphemism. The place is a real dump. The towels, when they finally receive one, are already dirty, and only one is given for the duration of the stay. The cleanliness of the room? It doesn't exist. The structure? A pigsty. The smell of filth permeates every corner, making every moment there a disgusting experience.- Location: The only "almost" positive point is the proximity to the main beaches, but even this is ruined by the proximity to a night club. The music is so loud that it feels like having the disco directly in the room, perfect for those who don't need to sleep!**CONCLUSION:** This place needs to be shut down immediately! Don't waste your money on this total crap!

The hotel's location is undeniably strategic due to its proximity to the beach. The room was the most expensive of my trip to Bali..and I can't even say it was worth it. Bathroom dirty and very impractical. Music until late at night. On the other hand, the staff was kind and understanding!

The rooms were okay, but definitely not worth the price. Super loud music plays until 1am making it difficult to sleep. In addition, the reception is rarely staffed. We wanted to check out early and pay, so we waited at reception for over an hour, but no one came. We ended up having to leave to catch our ferry and left all our details etc. so they could send us the bill.We ended up being bombarded with calls and threatened with the police. Very rude and incompetent staff.NOT RECOMMENDED!

If you value your sleep, don’t book here. There is a new bar that plays extremely loud house music literally across the street until past 1am. The music is so loud it is like it’s in the bedroom with you, reverberating against the inside of your body. Couldn’t sleep. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me so long as that “club” is across the street.

If you think about having a reservation in this place YOU SOULD NOT ! The price is way to expensive ! The location not appropriated as it’s right by a night club in ulu !! We booked 3 nights debuting on Sunday and sleeping was not an option ! The music of the nightclub was on til 4am !!!! The manager told us that a small party was thrown at night when we arrived but that was a way for him to find a way out from the situation !!!! When we asked him to deduce the night we didn’t sleep, he told us that he would call the cops ! It was really disappointed ! I would not recommend you this place !!!!!

This place is not as advertised! It doesn’t have a proper shower, bad smells comes from the toilet! More importantly it’s over priced! Half price next door with better facilities! I would rate the customer service 2. There is a small tv in the room which doesn’t work properly! It has a small pool but never been cleaned!Don’t waste your hard earned money!

Ok yes it close to the beach, the room is ok but not for the price. There is a night club across the road and a pizza place that play VERY loud music till 1-3am every night so no early nights and hard to get to sleep. The pool is not clean and over looks nothing. So the price dose not match what you get. And I will not be staying here again.

If ever the manik toya was a great hotel, today, NOT. It is simply a place to sleep in the south of the island. The bar next door plays music until 2-3am and it is difficult to sleep early. If you like to party, no problem:) It does not have a bar or restaurant. Rent motorcycles at a high price. Room service is on demand, don't forget to ask for it or no one will clean your room and as a curiosity the shower drain is on the other side of the bathroom, so it will always be wet. There is a pool with warm water. But next to it an area in ruins :/ . There are better options nearby.

The Manik Toya ticked all of the boxes for me. The location is ideal if you want to be close to the heart of Uluwatu and surf access, but the property is a quiet little oasis amongst the bustle. Danny was a gracious host and was a great source for local recommendations.Yea it’s not a luxury resort, but if you have realistic standards and are easy going, The Manik Toya is an awesome value and perfect for your Uluwatu stay.

We enjoyed our stay here . However there was a power outage for half the day due to a massive street party till 4am ( very loud). There was also mould in our bathroom. Location was great just a few minutes walk to single fin/the beach so great if you surf.

This is a cosy hotel in a great location, 5-10 mins walk to Suluban/Uluwatu beach, several eateries & cafes nearby. Ricki and Danny were the housekeepers during my stay, both friendly locals, ready to accommodate and help. The hotel has only 5-6 rooms, and a mini pool, however no view of the sea despite the close proximity. It’s quiet most of the time, except next door has construction going on, and on Sundays the bar next door blasts music past midnight, not for light sleepers. Room lights are dim, but you get by, amenities are basic, can request for cups and utensils but no kettle available. It felt like home during my stay, will come back again.
