Rooms smell musty. Facilities had full potential but are clearly degraded. In the shower there was mold/dirt everywhere.They only clean the room on request. However, on WhatsApp they respond quickly.Breakfast with very poor food.Very helpful employees. However, the odor in the rooms is something that greatly affects the stay.

At first I was a bit worried because the appearance of the hotel looks very unfinished, with lots of abandoned buildings in the complex. But the villa we stayed in was decent, clean, nice plunge pool and I liked the layout. The location was a bit tricky for grab drivers to access/find. The staff were fantastic. They can take you on short trips around Uluwatu using the shuttle bus.

I do not recommend this hotel.The photos make you dream, the reality is quite different. The rooms smell musty and damp. I think this hotel is not new, and that it has not been maintained to maintain its 4 stars. The hotel is surrounded by ruined buildings, and there is not much around. The location is not ideal.However, the staff are pleasant, the breakfast was good.

To avoid, worst stay in Bali.We had booked for 3 nights, but left after the first.This hotel absolutely does not match the description or the photos. It's a ghost hotel, half of which is abandoned.The rooms are in very poor condition. There is an odor and traces of mold inside. After spending a night, we had lung pain the next morning.The sheets were stained, the wallpaper was peeling, the air vents were clogged, the water stank and left marks.After a first request to change the sheets, no one came, we had to go back a second time for them to change rooms but it was no better.The hotel staff was very friendly unlike the manager who was not even sorry about the situation.The price is excessive for the quality offered, this hotel should no longer even welcome customers given its catastrophic and dangerous state for health (mold).

Far-reaching glory. The Sterling was probably the place to be a few years ago. But there is little left of it. Upon arrival at the hotel, the large dilapidated letters already gave a harbinger of the rest. The room was not clean, the bathroom was not at all, the shower ceiling was leaking, the bathroom smelled, the breakfast was okay, housekeeping came by once while we were still getting ready, but then never came again that day. Plus points: the bed and the soft towels. For the price we paid, compared to the other hotels we visited, this was not okay.We booked and paid for 5 nights and left after 2 nights. Money was non-refundable, we knew that, but a little compensation might have been appropriate. It is what it is? But alas, we expected more from The Sterling.

Beautiful from the outside but dirty and old inside.On a new sheets there was a blood spot.. so, I have doubts that it was new.There are 3 rooms in our villa, two of them downstairs are not prepared, no sheets, smell with mould, there are no remotes for the A/CI’m so disappointed with this priceBreakfast is amazing

Located in a forest in the mountains which makes it a little more complicated for outings and a means of transport becomes necessary but everything else is just magnificent 😍 the swimming pool, the view, the breakfast, the service, the environment … in short, a real pleasure for us to be there ❤️❤️

Very good value for money for this hotel. The facilities are very good, the breakfast and the gym are a big plus. The staff are very friendly and were of great help during our stay. Good location close to the main centers of interest in Uluwatu.

Good hotel for family, couple or friends. Away from the airport but relatively close to everything on Grab. They have a driver service that takes you to nearby beaches and services for free, which adds many points to this site. The included breakfast is wonderful, not excessively varied but very rich. The villas are magnificent with all the necessary services (air conditioning, mosquito nets, etc.)

Currently staying here. I was really worried, because I read all the reviews here and on booking about mold and abandonment of the property, but let me tell you, it’s not bad at all!!! Let’s start with the main positive thing for me - condition of the villa. Before deciding on the unit I asked them to show two different villas at check in and they did and let me tell you - it’s 99% what it looks like on the pictures! I inspected both units for mold - didn’t find any. First unit I was shown had a little wear on kitchen cabinets, but that’s it. It was absolutely clean, no stains in the shower, toilet etc, no cracked corners on the furniture. Pool was clean, water didn’t smell of chlorine or anything else. Also! All these villas are actually 3 bedroom, if you book it as 1 bedroom, they just lock two bedrooms on the bottom floor (they are 2 story villas!), but you still get to use a full bathroom downstairs and there is a whole room with a washer, ironing board, iron and a thing where you hang your clothes to dry. So at the price they offer, it’s a fantastic deal! AC in both bedroom and kitchen works great.Now the negative (but not really). This place was built in 2017 and the villas part is finished, but around they started building 2 or 3 main buildings that would have regular rooms and they got hit with COVID. So they stopped, so from the back you have 6-7 story unfinished buildings, but windows of all villas look at the opposite side, so you only see it when you walk outside your villa, get on your scooter and leave, do it doesn’t really matter.About how close everything is - there is a restaurant called “cashew tree” within 10 minutes walk, little store to buy beer at, but that’s it. I don’t understand why people complain about it, if you wanna to get around in Bali - you will absolutely have to rent a scooter. They have an app like Uber where they pick you up, but you better know how to ride a scooter, otherwise this trip will be really uncomfortable.Also, for those who watched video bloggers like I did - except for the beaches - Bali is just a village. Roads are very bad and there is trash/abandoned buildings/construction EVERYWHERE.Overall, these villas is, in my opinion, the best accommodation in Uluwatu.I really hope this place makes a lot of money to finish their construction!

Dear prospective guests,I am writing this positive review not solely based on my experience with the villa itself but primarily because of the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Yoga. Yoga went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, assisting me in a difficult situation with a motorbike and ensuring I reached my destination. The food was excellent, and the entire staff was very friendly. Overall, the villa offers good value for money.Thank you, Yoga, for your hard work and dedication!

Had a power cut for a couple of hours. The staff handled it well and the manager was very apologetic. The rooms were good and the pool was great. The staff really make this stay great ☀️
