The mattress was very comfortable and you slept very well. In addition, the room was spacious, had a lot of natural light and had air conditioning.I think the hotel has a lot of potential, and I'm sure it was super nice and pleasant at the time. The fact is that, I don't know if it was because we went in low season or what happened, but the pool was not operational, the public spaces were dirty, we had to go ask for toilet paper and towels because there were none in the room when we arrived. , we had breakfast paid for and no one offered it to us (maybe if we had asked, they would have given it to us. So I can't blame the staff... although I don't think it's the customer who has to ask for breakfast).The truth is that for the price we paid, the hotel was more than good... but they should try to keep the place in better condition. I'm sorry for having given such a negative review, but I think that everything I have said can be constructive for the hotel and you should take it into account if you want to improve. The staff was very friendly and attentive at all times.

Budget hotel that was good for the price. Had an ac unit in the room that made noise but didn't cool very much. Seems like the place was really nice when it was new but has fallen into a bit of disrepair. The pool is still in good shape. Nice location and friendly staff. Not bad for a budget option as long as you don't mind waiting until midnight when it's cool enough to sleep.

Unfortunately, this was the worst stay on me and my girlfriends 1 month travel to Indonesia. Luckily, we only stayed for 1 night.Firstly, even though we had gotten a booking confirmation, the management couldn’t find our reservation. And it was very time consuming for us, since they don’t talk English.Secondly, they literally didn’t have toilet paper. When we saw that our room didn’t have toilet paper, and we asked them if they could put some in our room, they told us that they had run out of it. So instead, they gave us some tissues…Thirdly, we where woken up at 7:30 in the morning (which we didn’t ask for), because they wanted to serve us breakfast. They then gave us probably the worst tasting fried rice with chicken. And there was no choice for breakfast. Horrible.And lastly, the reason we chose Tulamben Backpacker, was because of the pool. However it was dirty and not in function. So no pool, even though the description informs on it.0 value for money. We had already paid our 1 night, if we hadn’t, we wouldn’t have stayed 1 second longer. Way overpriced.

This is a hard review to write due to some elements of the stay being outstanding and others being sub standard.The rooms are large but the cleaning leaves much to be desired. For the few nights we stayed there was no room make up service provided.Breakfast was toast and eggs with no menu to choose from. The timing of the breakfast seemed when more when they didn't than any set time or request.The air conditioning was adequate and the bed comfortable.The location needs transport to anywhere, so if you don't have a car or a bike don't stay here. If you do have transport it is a nice location if your room is not at the front of the property as the road is busy with lorries.The attitude of the staff was great and they could not be more accommodating or friendly. They are clearly not hoteliers but are lovely people.With some more work and standard setting on guest expectations this will be a beautiful place with good prices and facilities. I have stayed before and certainly covid has since my last stay affected their ability to maintain the standard I previously enjoyed.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel with some friends. It was a great stay! Staffs are kind and helpful, the amenities were great with a deep pool for dive/apnea practice, and the room was big for 3 of us. Really an underrated hotel in Tulamben. Recommended!

Their is no atm in site. Its about 1.5 miles away. Lose a star from food. Staff no very little English. Swimming pool and room is great! Nice cool room big shower!Food was cheap but awful. Me and my partner spent all day in bed and we only ate rice.The breakfast had ants on the eggs lizard walking freely. No food standards. Only good side is you can make your own egg yourself. And watermelon. Can refill water also free.

Good price quality. room and bathroom neat and clean. neat swimming pool.The disadvantage is that the location is remote from the street where there are a few restaurants. they can take you by car. There isn't much to do in this village if you don't dive.it is also located right on a busy road. breakfast is not recommended.
