⚫Used guest roomsExecutive Room Garden View (Ayodhya Palace with Club benefits)56㎡/6 nightsThere are several guest rooms within the vast Ayodhya Resort grounds, and the Ayodhya Palace building is the farthest from the main building. This time, I made a reservation for the Palace building because I was attracted by the spaciousness of the room and the following benefits.[Bonus]① Use of dedicated front desk②Use of Ayodya Lounge③Use of private pool④Free minibar⑤Free laundry serviceHowever, compared to the huge front lobby of the main building, the private reception area is only large enough to seat about 10 people. It gets quite crowded when there are many customers checking in/out and consulting. The private pool is much smaller than the main pool, and there are fewer deck chairs, so it fills up quickly. The free minibar only contains 2 beers and 3 soft drinks. The exclusive lounge where you can have a leisurely breakfast and the free laundry of 4 items per day were worth using. In exchange for these benefits, there is no shuttle service to the main building, and you are forced to walk to the main building to eat dinner or take the shuttle bus to Bali Collection. What's more, the Palace building, which was designed to differentiate itself from the main building and sell itself as a luxury building, ended up experiencing a number of unexpected problems.①The walls are thin and you can hear conversations and TV from the neighboring rooms.②The elevator remained stopped for two weeks under the guise of repair. Therefore, during my week-long stay, I had no choice but to take the stairs or take a fairly long detour to get to my room on the 5th floor by using the elevator in the next building. The elevator in the next building was also broken and could not be used at times.③ Wi-Fi is difficult to connect to all the time, disconnecting quickly and then reconnecting again. And for two days, from the second to the third day, I couldn't connect at all due to equipment failure. In the private pool area and private beach area, there will be no connection at all times, regardless of a malfunction.④On the second day, a large amount of water from the air conditioner leaked from the ceiling and the room was flooded, so I had to change rooms.⑤The room I got changed to was right next to the lounge entrance. I couldn't sleep because of the loud conversations of customers coming out of the lounge, which is open until 24:00, so I changed rooms again.⑥The Palace building is currently undergoing renovations, and during my stay, I was unable to stay in my room due to the echoing sounds of drills and hammers until around 4:00 pm every day.⑦When I ordered lunch at the private beach area, I asked for a charge to be charged to my room at the sign, but was told that I had not paid the deposit, so I had to pay it now. I had no choice but to go to my room to retrieve cash. There was no such explanation at check-in.⑧When using Grab, the Pick up Point only displays the entrance of the main building and does not come to the Palace building. Even though I told the driver the entrance to Palace via Message, it was no use as he didn't know that Palace existed.⑨The bath towels have discolored due to aging and do not look clean at all.➉TV satellite broadcasting has 40 channels from all over the world, including Korean and Chinese, but there is no Japanese broadcasting. Even when I tried to watch Youtube, I couldn't watch it when I couldn't connect to wifi.In addition to these troubles, I was surprised by the response, which made me question the hotel's basic attitude toward guest service. When checking in, you will be directed to use Chat on the WhatsApp app for any questions or requests. The basis of a hotel's guest service is to communicate directly with guests, understand their psychology, and respond promptly, but this hotel does not want to spend time on such important matters. Apparently not. This time, when I had a problem with my room, I tried to inform the front desk about it, but since the app is troublesome, I called the front desk, but no one answered. I had no choice but to call the operator at the main building, who then called the front desk at the Palace building.I once tried asking someone a question about room service via Chat on this app, and it took 25 minutes to get a reply. I laughed past my anger, wondering if they really thought their guests would be satisfied with this kind of service.⚫OverviewI thought it would be much better to stay in the main building since the Palace building is full of troubles like this, but when I actually looked at the restaurants and facilities in the main building, I was wrong. Most people who book Ayodya Resort Hotel are probably inspired by the luxury of the hotel after seeing images of its grand, palace-like entrance and lobby. However, we must not forget that it has already been 34 years since this hotel opened, and the entrance, lobby, guest rooms, and facilities have aged and are now in a very old state. The hotel was considerate of my repeated problems with the room and upgraded me to a suite, but I took it as a natural response given the amount of inconvenience I had caused. Now, writing a lenient review of this hotel will not serve as a reference for people who will use this hotel in the future, so I will objectively evaluate it based on the room I was initially assigned (executive room). I did.I can express my thoughts in English and can read and write, so I was able to deal with the above problems, but I think people who are not confident in their English will feel quite anxious and even more angry. I think so.For the above reasons, I do not recommend choosing Ayodhya Palace, or rather Ayodhya Resort itself, and I myself will not be visiting again.
