This family-run hotel is a little gem situated in a great part of town.I've stayed here many times and always found the staff incredibly friendly and more than helpful. The rooms are great, very clean, and have excellent air conditioning. The showers have plenty of hot water and very good water pressure. You can rent scooters and push bikes in reception at incredibly competitive prices. If you want taxis, local information, day trips, elephant sanctuaries, or colourful temples, just ask.Every Saturday, there's a street market just around the corner from the hotel on Wualai Rd. It's full of colourful exhibits, tasty treats, and hundreds of trinkets that make fantastic presents and souvenirs. If you're into photography, you'll be spoiled for choice.Further up Wualai Rd is the Chiang Mai Gate Market, which is divided into three sections.(1) The Early Market. Opens around 5/6 am. Here, you'll find monks making their early morning rounds collecting food from the market vendors. It's a site that needs to be experienced and photographed. This market sells everything, so from early morning till late morning, it's full of locals getting their daily and weekly supplies.(2) The Clothes Market. This market is set up across the road from the larger early indoor market, starting around midday and ending around 5/6 o'clock. I'm 6' 4", so although I found the clothes colourful and exciting, I was slightly on the large side.(3) The Food Market. This section is set up in the same footprint as the clothes market, and it's where you'll find some fantastic Tasty Street Food at very reasonable prices. When night falls, this area also becomes incredibly photogenic, and it stays open until midnight and, on the weekends, even slightly later.I highly recommend the Hotel Wualai by CMStay. It's a perfect place to stay during your visit to this vibrant city👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Basic place. Small room. Budget accommodation, good value for the money I paid but don't expect much. ☺️

This is a family run hotel and they are all very sweet and helpful. The room is nice, with a comfortable bed and pillows, the property is clean and in a quite street, you can rent scooter there at unbeatable price, good water pressure and hot water availability, and i love the location since it is close to the night market and in a very nice local area. Great value for money. I really recommend to everyone

Owns by a small family and they are super nice. Son can speak English well and helped me with everything. No elevator so you have to carry the bags upstairs by yourself. Clean area and security is satisfactory. …

It is a place to stay next to Wualai Walking Street on Saturdays. There is convenient parking. There is a soaking tub in the room. The room is spacious, clean, with a view of Wualai Road. Walking out of the hotel, you will find a walking street, shop for local products, snacks, massage shops, shopaholics, don't miss it.
