I wasn't expecting it to be like a normal business hotel, but I was very satisfied with the room, which had a washing machine and a large refrigerator, and was quite spacious and clean! However, as mentioned in other reviews, the toilet gets wet when you take a shower, so I'm worried about whether it's safe.

The Stay Classic Hotel was an average stay in a good location if you are wanting to be close to Myeongdong (shopping district/city center) - but I would probably not stay here if I could choose again. The location was good and the room itself was fine, but the hotel just does not really feel like a hotel. There is a check-in desk, but otherwise it feels like you are in an office/commercial building that has been converted into a hotel, but with none of the aesthetic changes or remodel to make it feel like a hotel. The hallways and elevator are almost industrial-feeling.Some basic services are not offered - for example, we arrived three hours before our room was ready, but rather than allow us to drop off our luggage until check-in was ready (a basic service that any hotel should offer), the hotel redirected us towards a different level of the building that offered lockers in exchange for a silly price.Overall was a disappointing experience given the reviews, and was really more of a “budget” experience.

It was my first time staying in this hotel (went during the peak period of traveling in korea - 2nd to 7th oct). I stayed alone so this is a review as a solo traveler:- room had all the basic amenities needed for me: bathroom with shower head, toilet bowl with bidet, washing machine so I could do my laundry at my convenience. The toilet bowl is just beside the shower so it will definitely get all wet, so just to note!- Each room also comes with a balcony for you to take a breather and admire the nightview- location wise: it is strategically located a walks distance to myeongdong (according to the staff, its about 10 mins walk) and located just opposite namdaemun market, so it was very convenient for me to pop by the market to eat and to do shopping.- talking about location wise:1. there is a bus to seoul station from the hotel so I could just take it and head to seoul station if I wanted to transfer to other subway lines2. I had to pass by Namdaemun market and walk 5 to 6 mins to Hoehyeon station. The hotel is actually located beside Exit 7 of Namdaemun underground shopping center so you can walk to that exit and walk underground to Exit 6, which brings you directly to Namdaemun market. As namdaemun market is pretty big with alot of exits, you can get a bit confused if it is your first time going to the market by a different Exit. But it is still alright3. The surroundings of the hotel are pretty safe even at night. I attended a concert on Friday and came back to the hotel pretty late so I took a cab from Seoul station to the hotel. When you give the taxi driver the location of the hotel, the taxi driver will stop just outside the hotel so it is safe and you don't have to worry! There is also a staff on night duty so you don't have to worry if you head back late. The walkways of the level are also brightly lited even at night.- daily cleaning service is provided. You can call the front desk and confirm with them about the timing of the daily cleaning- staff are very friendly and all can speak English. The hotel not only has foreigners staying there, Koreans also stay there too! The staff also helped me to book a cab when I had to go to Incheon airport- there is also an airport limo bus that is outside of the hotel, the sign is quite prominent! The front desk has a timetable of the bus timings so you can easily refer to it and plan ahead.- also just want to add: there are 2 lifts of the hotel. the lift at the main lobby tends to get a bit slow so you can try to wait for the other lift with the elevator sign and see which one comes first.Overall, I find the stay pretty pleasant for 4 nights. I do think it's a hotel worth considering it's location and cleanliness and safety. Just note to book with them early to avoid the high price surge especially during peak traveling period!
