Our short stay at Yeongdeungpo CF was disappointing, due to a number of reasons. Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons.Pros1. The location is great! It is 5-10 mins walking distance to a bus stop or a metro station.2. It is located near a department store, and convenience stores. Perfect for travellers.Cons1. The building has a strong smell of bleach and mould.2. The room we stayed at had wall paint falling off, spider webs, broken furniture, moulding bathrooms, and a broken shower hose.3. The ventilator located next to the bed kept whirring at night, to the point where it woke us up every few hours.4. Soundproofing is very poor, and we could hear screaming from other rooms within the building at times.5. The bed was not clean, as it showed signs of dust. The pillow had stains.6. The difference between the picture provided and the actual room is stark! The walls had paintings of faces with big, dead eyes, and the lamp did not have a hat. It's almost as if it's a different motel altogether. The location of the motel is great, however the state of the room, and the customer service made us quite upset with the location. As the motel is located right next to a dozen other motels, I recommend spending a bit more, and trying out the motels nearby. We have mentioned a poor customer service. Here is our reason: they denied their responsibility of giving us parking, and they showed blatant ignorance when checking in.For some context, the Agoda booking page as of our booking stated that there was parking. We booked a room that did not specify that there was no parking available. When booking, we specified in our message that we will bring a car to park. We booked four days in advance. At the day of the booking, we decided to call the location to park before the check-in time. This would be a blessing in disguise, as it would also be the first time hearing that parking would not be provided for us.When we inquired further, they blamed Agoda and its third-party affiliate for putting up an incorrect booking, and that the motel itself did not have control over the Agoda page. They told us to contact Agoda if we wanted a refund, and so we did. They denied the refund, stating that it was "against the hotel's policy."When we arrived to the motel, we were asked our booking name. When I gave them my name, they called us "the guy that called for parking(주차 연락하신 분)" and handed us our key, without any remark. There was a brief moment of silence, which was broken by his "go up(가세요)".I understand that they are one of the cheapest accommodations in the area, and that they are catering towards people looking for a place to stay for a budget, but I would not go here, however cheap it is. It is not worth the frustration, and irresponsibility of the staff. Please just spend another 30-50-100k won and stay at a nicer place, and make your stay in Seoul worthwhile. This will always be a black stain to what was a great trip to Seoul.
