Although the building is old, it has been thoroughly renovated and you won't even notice it's old.Breakfast on the upper floor was exceptional with a great view. The room was clean and there was a washlet in the toilet, so I felt safe.My only complaint is that there are no toothbrushes in the room amenities. I ended up going to a nearby drugstore to buy some.

This hotel is recommended for people visiting Korea for the first time. You can enjoy Myeongdong to the fullest without having to travel. The hotel is clean and speaks Japanese 🥰🥰

It was a classic and calm hotel. The front staff is kind and polite, and the amenities are very good. The guest room (linen) staff was also kind. The sink drains slowly. I think Japan's water situation is too good.*Hotel amenities in South Korea will be completely abolished from May 2024 at the request of the South Korean government. Rinse-in shampoo and body soap in pump bottles are available.

I had stayed there once when I visited South Korea while working there over ten years ago, and had a good impression, so I decided to stay again this time. The accommodation fee was 20,000 yen in Japanese yen, although it was a bit expensive because it was a single room. This trip was a 4-night, 5-day trip, and I stayed for 3 nights at a cheap hotel near Dongdaemun where locals stay. Therefore, the accommodation cost for 4 nights was around 35,000 yen. Since I can speak Korean, I can stay anywhere. I made the reservation from Japan using my smartphone and paid by card. So, on my last day, I decided to splurge a bit and stayed at the Royal Hotel Seoul for just one night.Royal Hotel Seoul is located in a corner of Myeong-dong, so its location is excellent. There was a convenience store right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient.I also heard that the free shuttle bus connecting Gimpo International Airport and Incheon International Airport to the hotel has resumed service twice a day. Also, when I'm in Korea, I tend to eat only meat dishes, but in Myeong-dong, there is a restaurant near the hotel that serves fish dishes from Jeju Island, which is helpful. The name of the restaurant is 고시레 (Goshire), and I ate the Jeju Grilled Mackerel Set Meal. The mackerel meat was plump and very delicious.Lastly, if you go to Myeong-dong, I recommend Samgyetang. There is a restaurant near the hotel called Baekje Samgyetang (백제 삼계탕), which was founded in 1971. This is a long-established restaurant that has been broadcast on NHK, Fuji TV, Asahi TV, and TBS in Japan. We recommend that you visit it at least once.
