Dishonest and unpleasant owner. We never got our breakfast due to lack of information. The room did not match the photos. The owner allows himself to send inflammatory and haughty messages AFTER check-out (obviously he was absent at the time) without forgetting the negative review he gave us.Flee this place and this bitter man.If we are bothered by the presence of strangers we don't do Airbnb.Certainly the courtyard was very pretty but no other interest and the location is more than adequate.

Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with my stay in this place, even though the surroundings are very nice. The owner was very rude. He got mad at us because we left our luggage from 1 p.m. (and the hotel check-in time was from 4 p.m.), we didn't think it would be a problem after a long journey to leave only our luggage. There is a distinct unpleasant smell inside the house and it is damp. The owner on airbnb has disabled the ability to write him a message, so we could not contact him to ask about the possibility of leaving our luggage earlier. The owner left music playing on the patio one night and when we pointed it out, he rudely told us to turn it off because he wasn't there. Overall the location is great but due to the rude owner I cannot recommend this place.

Booked via Airbnb. The host does not speak any other language than Korean.Got mad once we left our luggage before "check-in" hour at 4PM which resulted with his further negative attitude. He left a false accusation review on Airbnb after all - calling me "the worst among foreign tourists".It's a non-smoking place, however the Host smokes next to Hanok 107 - we could easly inhale the cigarettes fumes.Once he forgot to switch off the background music at night - I had to do it instead of him. I do travel a lot and normally such things are not an issue for me, but since I was accused and harmfully reviewed by the Host I cannot leave this without any response.Now, the Hanok itself is a plywood-made old-Korean style small room, a bit smelly inside (like a hospice), the bathroom is tiny, shower is attached to sink and really close to the toilet. After having a quick shower everything is wet. There is lack of good ventilation system which makes the bathroom very humid, smelly and not so comfortable. The bathroom light was supposed to switch off after 10 minutes automatically, but sometimes it worked even after 30 minutes (was problematic especially at night).

It was relatively quiet inside Hwangridan-gil, so it was a good location for travelers on foot. The room was small but warm, the bathroom was clean, and it had all the amenities, so all you had to do was show up. Breakfast was provided and the view of the yard was good. However, there was some unavoidable buzz because the rooms were adjacent to each other. It is not 100% soundproof, so sensitive people may want to avoid it.

I left plenty of towels and shampoo and conditioner, but the room is very small, probably because it's a hanok;; And I stayed on a weekday, but the price seems a bit expensive. All the Hanok accommodations nearby are expensive, so it's hard to say that this one is the only one... I arrived a little early, and when I saw the blankets being washed and dried in the sun, I thought it was a clean accommodation.

It's been a long time since I came to Korea and I experienced a hanok. On the day of my stay, there was a broadcast filming, so I watched the filming, received Yeon-yen's autograph thanks to the owner's consideration, and it felt like I received a very special gift from the kids, so it was even better. The owner was really kind and every time I called and inquired, I got more information. Please be sure to ask if there is anything you need. I had a great healing experience in a hanok. I hope your business prospers and I will definitely visit again next time I go to Gyeongju.

the place was lovely, and both the exterior and interior were extremely neat and clean! the owner was so welcoming and generous which was heartwarming! i really recommend this place if you are finding a place to stay in gyeongju ♡
