Thanks to some reviews, we had no problems finding the hostel that was right behind the police station. The hostel is located at a rather quiet alley at night, but it didn't feel unsafe. It was also on a leveled ground (not on some hill) & the subway exits are very near the hostel. Plenty of buses too! It's also walkable to Myeongdong & many surrounding areas.Self check in was pretty smooth. The rooms are small but at least the bed was pretty comfortable. There was a mini fridge, mirror, hangers & even hairdryer plus sufficient plug points. Our only complaint was the ultra high step into the bathroom, which was very challenging for anyone with bad knees or the elderly. Having said that, after informing the hostel via Agoda message, the hostel staff actually sent a brand new stool to the room for my elderly aunt to climb up to the bathroom. Very thankful for that! The common area had a comfortable dining table area, drinking water dispenser, unlimited coffee from the machine, a large common fridge, common cups, kitchenware, & even supply of towels, earplugs (for those who really need it) & toilet rolls where we could help ourselves to.The restaurant (not part of the hostel) on the first floor was very convenient for a simple & satisfying meal of kalguksu, mandu, naengmyeon or even bbq samgeopsal. There are also 2 convenience stores across the road (none on the side of the hostel). Further down the road from the hostel, there are tasty tacos, udon, & bbq restaurants.Although it was stated that the sound-proofing wasn't good, people who stayed were very considerate, so we didn't have any problems sleeping or even enjoying our family meals at the common area, meeting people from different countries & getting to know them as well 😊 Room 215 is a corner room with a larger window too, which was nice, although no view (but provides better air ventilation). We also took Rooms 212 & 213, which had small windows, but same facilities as Room 215. It was a good stay & I'll recommend it to anyone considering.
