We stayed here in March 2020! You can take a boat to Wat Arun, make the next stop, and then go back a little. You can feel the history and it's very romantic💕. You can see the Temple of the Dawn for a long time.Good location too!In the morning, there are lots of wonderful and delicious breakfast stalls around! You can see Wat Arun from your room and get a free drink at the rooftop restaurant! It was ❤️ It was wonderful ❤️ I want to go again! special place ❤️

Amazing place and well located with breathtaking view in Wat Arun temple. Close to restaurants and other temples. Despite this ot was fairly quiet in the night. Rooms were very authentic in wooden building, could feel the traditional Thai accommodation.

There is probably no need to say anything more about the situation. It's unbeatable. I don't want to go into more detail about the restaurants and the bar, but rather about the two rooms where you can stay overnight. After I was here for a sundowner a year ago, I thought I would treat myself to an overnight stay there this year. That was a big mistake! You don't get what you pay for and that can't be justified by the location. The room I had is more or less in the stairwell next to the creaky wooden stairs. The room itself is again on two floors, which means that if you have to go to the toilet at night, you have to crawl from top to bottom. The furniture in the sleeping area is not nearly what I would expect for this price.Breakfast is available outside in another hotel a block away. I have rarely seen a Thai lady as unfriendly as the one who works there! At first I was ignored for ages and after I made my displeasure known, I was treated in a more than just unfriendly manner.Anyone who decides to stay here should be clear about what they are getting for their money and whether they would rather spend the money elsewhere. I definitely won't be coming back!

Arun Residence is really a four storey restaurant and bar with just two guest rooms. Ours was the smaller, split level room. Downstairs is the bathroom and wardrobe, upstairs the bedroom and lounge/TV area. All was clean, comfortable and well maintained. And what a view! Directly opposite Wat Arun across the river. Beautiful in the daytime, stunning at night when lit up in a multicoloured show. It's a stone's throw from The Grand Palace and Wat Pho, with plenty of cafes and coffee shops nearby. Also worth a visit is the Museum of Siam just down the road. Sanam Chai metro station takes you two stops into Chinatown. One drawback, the room is up two flights of stairs with no lift and there are stairs in the room itself. So if that's a problem, it's not for you.
