After 3 years of hiatus due to COVID and after losing his first wife and those close to him, Zul and his current wife, very touching and caring, dared to reopen the doors of their little lost paradise. This could at least be the case with the support of all of us because they have not yet found the energy and finances to restore this place to the splendor of its early days.The bungalows are rustic and we would appreciate renovations for a nice facelift but the setting is splendid and above all authentic. We tasted fresh fish of the day from the fishermen who supply his fish resale business and who spend their free time wandering around his house drinking coffee, cappuccinos (excellent), and playing dominoes after having worked hard on their little ones. boats to set and remove fishing nets early in the morning. A typical and photogenic scene of Lake Maninjau to say the least and a good opportunity to be in contact with the lake's inhabitants.We deplored the amount of plastic on the beaches but it is unfortunately a reality throughout Indonesia :(Zul also very easily rented his impeccable scooter for a whole day to go around the lake.We were also able to take a nice walk at the end of the day from the bungalow to appreciate the wonderful view of the lake and the rice fields. Breathtaking.And what about his 6 children who were so cute, smiling and curious who had fun in the rice fields, on the beach and at the restaurant with next to nothing.In short, we left happy, rested and touched by this endearing family.

I stayed with me in 2017. The rooms are a little worn out. The owner is a kind family. The most serious problem is mosquitoes and the dust problem because of old houses. The lake is wonderful, nature is beautiful. It was especially good to drink fresh coconut. It's a quiet place. 5,10 minutes walking distance to the main road..

Best place for relax in the maninjau lake.. you can order also fresh young coconut, clean beach!! Yeah theres beach in these place.
