Super cozy place, the family that runs the business is charming. The rooms are clean and spacious. Very delicious breakfast, both the salty and sweet options. Even though breakfast started at 8am, they adapted breakfast to 6am so I could get to the train on time.

Great location! Sights and great restaurants or street food within walking distance. We stayed with Timmy and her team for 3 nights, they are all very personable and friendly. The room with air conditioning is large and comfortable, only the bathroom could use a little updating. The breakfast (choice of 3 hot dishes), fruits and juices were delicious. Top price-performance ratio.

Small hotel located in a cul-de-sac that sums up Bangkok in itself(dilapidated building, stray cats, family restaurants, trendy bar and cafe) . The hotel offers calm to travelers in a colonial-style building. The rooms are nicely furnished with antiques and flea markets. If they are large, comfort is basic: no blackout curtain and the mattress is hard. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating (early breakfast served early). The breakfast is perfect. Excellent value .

We spent 3 nights here. The owner and the whole team/family are very friendly. The entire house has a wonderful atmosphere. The room is large and cozy. We were happy about the mosquito net over the bed.We felt very safe in the alleys even at night.The location is great!

The host is really welcoming and very kind. The rooms are clean and warm. Bring a light cover for sleeping because the rooms are very bright very early in the morning and have few shutters.

Timmy and her family run a beautiful guesthouse near Khaosan Road. We chose Villa Mungkala for our first stop in Thailand and we didn't regret it. Air conditioning is also available. For breakfast we had a choice between 3 dishes that were freshly prepared for us. Thank you for your hospitality, Timmy and all the best!

Timmy and her small team offer cheerful, friendly hospitality. You quickly feel at home.Strengthen:- Friendly staff- excellent location and authentic living feeling in old Bangkok; Neighborhood residents know and greet the guests, so you feel at home. The location is also good because the main sights can be reached on foot or with a short taxi ride. There is also a nightlife area (e.g. cultural Khao San Street 5 minutes walk away) with many restaurants or street food (Netflix chef star Jay Fai 600 m!)!- Nice ambience in the villaWeaken:- a small refresh of the bathrooms would be desirable (initiated)- Bulky, heavy furniture could be replaced with lighter and more functional ones, as the villa and rooms have limited usable space

The small, colonial-style guesthouse is pretty and familiar. I think the location in a small alley with everyday life is great. A lot can be explored on foot and you can quickly get to cafés and restaurants, including street food. Taxis constantly drive past the nearby street to explore the more distant parts of the city. The manager Timmy is super friendly and helpful. I give a deduction to the room (number 1). You can't move around in it as a couple and the bathroom urgently needs to be renovated, even if you don't have high standards. On the last day the owner was there and immediately implemented my request to some extent. After 10 minutes a worker was there and screwed the sink tight (I was always afraid that it would suddenly come completely off the wall). Even the moldy joints seem to shine in new splendor. Will he install another shelf? Given the limited space, a small storage area would be very helpful. All in all a place where I felt very comfortable.

Really cute little villa in the heart of Bangkok. Great location for street food and site seeing. Clean room, good working aircon, comfortable mattress (probably one of the softest we found in Thailand haha as they’re mostly hard).Hosts are super accomodating, breakfast was simple and cute.
