I received warm and heartfelt service. We had breakfast, and everything was delicious with gentle flavors.Best of all, the white rice was very delicious. The miso soup was also hearty and flavored with Kagoshima's sweet miso.Although the quality of the room was not high, it was sufficient for a good night's sleep. However, it was difficult to adjust the temperature of the bath water in the room (hot water tends to come out easily). The location of the parking lot is difficult to find.It is best to check with the host in advance.I would like to visit again when I come to Isa.

12 years ago in the winter, I cycled around Kyushu on my first overseas trip. I arrived in Isa City late at night and had no place to stay, so I went into a convenience store and asked a part-time worker if there was a place to stay, and he introduced me to Shoeikan. Even though I was a foreigner with whom I couldn't communicate well, I was grateful to the part-time worker who came to visit me at a nearby lodging until late at night, and I also remember the lady at Shoeikan who welcomed me in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Suddenly I remembered that time and started looking for it. It turned out to be an inn with a very long history and a famous place. I stopped by by chance, but it remained a good memory in my memory. thank you! Greetings from Korea.

We had a class reunion the other day, and we stayed overnight without meals, but thank you for accommodating 3 of us. Although it was a banquet hall room, it was very clean, there was a kotatsu (a kotatsu), and there was a 3-person bunk room, so it was spacious and relaxing. In addition to coffee and tea, I was very pleased with the thoughtfulness of local sweets, and I was very happy and humbled to see that the things I had forgotten were quickly and securely sent via Yu-Pack, and even included a letter and a present. Thank you very much again. Next time I would like to stay overnight with meals included.

First of all, regarding the parking lot, first-time visitors may not know where to park. You can park your car in the gravel parking lot next door that says "Monthly Park". There may be invalid spaces, and since there are no markings, you probably won't be able to tell.I was worried and looked it up before coming, but it wasn't mentioned anywhere. The official website is quite elaborate, but I think it would be better to include information about parking. As for the room, I am thankful that it has a washroom, and there are no other inconveniences. The toilet and bath are outside the room, but the bath is in front of the front desk, so it's difficult to use because you don't have a good line of sight. The town of Isa does not have a railway line, but it is an important place for car transportation.Although it is located in the center, there are no tall buildings and the scenery is good.Shopping is also convenient, and Direx in particular is a recommended store with a super + discount store.

This is an old-fashioned inn located in the center of Oguchi, Isa City. It is a very long-established store that was founded in 1917, and although the building is quite old, the staff are very courteous and it is kept very clean.Although the number of rooms is small at only 8, they seem to be actively receiving orders not only for inns but also for boxed lunches and catered meals. It was a 6 tatami Japanese-style room, but the total cost was 11,000 yen for 2 adults and 2 children, including breakfast. It's quite a good deal. The first floor has a reception desk, restaurant, bathrooms, and toilets, and the second floor has guest rooms and toilets.First of all, the guest rooms. The space is air-conditioned, cool, comfortable, and clean. There is no smell of cigarettes either.Although there is no toilet or bath in the room, the toilet is right nearby and the bath can be reserved for each room, so there is no inconvenience.Having a washbasin is very helpful.Of course there is a TV, and even tea and sweets are set.Considering the price, I think it's more than enough. The refrigerator and microwave are shared, and you can get ice at the front desk. Beer and juice are also sold at the front desk. It's helpful because the convenience store is a little far away.Although the bathing area is small, each room is reserved for private use, so there is no inconvenience. I also appreciate being able to use towels freely. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious. There are also 4 washing areas. And breakfast. As expected from a caterer. Each item is delicious. The rice is Isa rice, and it's self-service as much as you want. Miso soup is served hot first. Tea and water are set on a shared cupboard, which seems to be a good way to cut labor costs. There is a cafe during the day and alcoholic drinks are available at reasonable prices at night. One sho of local high-quality shochu ``Isami'' costs 4,000 yen. It is the same price as Isa Nishiki. I think it's no different than buying it at a liquor store.Check out is 9:30. Card and barcode payments are also possible. When we left, we were greeted with smiles. I found a very good accommodation. I go to Isa often, so I will use it again.Lunch boxes are available until 10am on the day of the event, and if possible, reservations must be made the day before. I thought I'd give it a try.thank you for helping me!

My husband and I stayed in shoeikan for one night during our trip to Kagoshima. The place was tiny, clean and comfortable. We had a pleasant stay. After returning home, I realised that I left my favourite umbrella at shoeikan. We called the staff there, they found the umbrella for us and posted it to our home, along with a hearty letter and a lovely gift box. It was very kind.Thank you so much, shoeikan, for turning a disaster into a happy memory and a happy day for us. Hope to visit you again soon!

We highly recommend the meal plan. There are a lot of breakfast items, and each one is elegant and delicious with a strong flavor 😋Although the building is old, it gives off a nice emotional feel.

I visited for work, and it is an old inn.I think you can spend your time in the room normally. It may be a little hard to find, but there is a parking lot a little further away.
