Staying here is the most unforgettable thing about my solo trip to Nagoya. The boss is very kind and talkative. The living environment is also very comfortable and there are no shortcomings. More importantly, it is in an excellent location, only one block away from the subway station. Minutes away (Exit 4 of Yaba-cho) and easily accessible to every lively city in Nagoya, it is a perfect place for students traveling alone on a budget!Roman is a nice guy, and this hostel is a really nice place I recommend you book here if you first time come to Nagoya ❤️‍🔥

Duping. Booked a room, fixed price 3000 yen, already transferred. Suddenly the funds were returned, then the room price increased by 10% to 2 times. Scammers 😡

Pros:1. Guesthouse is beautiful: tatami floor and wooden furniture.3. Very organized and well-kept place. Bathrooms and shared space for the most part were clean, but of course it always depends on how the other guests help with keeping things tidy and clean.4. Free laundry and dryer (automatic loading detergent) on the balcony.5. Very comfortable bed and plenty of room to store your luggage in your own space (at least for carry on size).6. Free ear plugs.7. If you don’t like to be bothered—the host never bothers you and in my experience most guests here don’t either.Cons:1. Going off the last point, the host went completely MIA. Have not seen them at all during my one week stay, neither did they respond to messages (although granted somebody had clearly been keeping up appearances for the guesthouse). Sign says to ring bell when you first enter but no one came.2. Frequently ran out of hand soap.3. Booking (where I booked) says there is breakfast but there isn’t.4. No separate rooms for bathrooms and sinks. Usually at guesthouses you only hear noise from other people in your room, here you hear everything because the sink area, toilet, and shower rooms are right outside paper thin walled bedrooms in the hallways. Leading to next point…5. The sign in sheet says no hair dryer after 11pm, but on my first night three different people used it after curfew. I messaged host about it and never got a response, but granted it never happened after.6. One time the faucet (automatic) in our room also went off on its own at night time, I messaged host on Booking but also never heard back. There is an emergency contact number on the sheet but I do not have a Japanese cell number and when I tried to text them it didn’t go through (but might be issues with my own Japan mobile coverage).7. The door downstairs was not locked one time when I came back; granted Japan is a generally safe country and there are security cams onsite. There should be a sign telling guests to make sure the door locks behind them, because that’s the only security measure we have.8. Third floor bathroom reeks of urine smell for some reason even though it looked clean.Overall it was a decent stay for a few days, for a budget guesthouse it is still worth the price. But be aware of the aforementioned issues, if any is a deal breaker.

I had the chance to stay here for a long period of time and it was an awesome experience. The building if beautifully design with a pure historic Japanese style from the Samurai period. The staff attention is extremely good, the gust is super polite and is always there to help you if you need assistance.Because its central location it can get busy and loud but is a good price you pay to be at heart of Nagoya city, all the tourist spots and metro lines are just 1 walk away.Very recommended.

The price and location were great, and the people working there were really kind.I think it's scary to stay at a guest house, but I highly recommend this one. However, I think it's better to prepare earplugs and an eye mask lol

Great hostel! The host was very courteous and spoke a lot of English, which was convenient. We got a 3 person family room, and the futons provided were very comfortable on the tatami floors. The AC was very effective, and the showers were nice. We hope to stay here again. (Just remember to bring earplugs, some of the other guests can be inconsiderate about noise level)

I paid ¥3850 for the reservation from booking.com!What you need for a gourmet trip is the cheapest accommodation lolPay in cash on site.Lately I've been addicted to dormitory rooms. It's like entering the password to open the front door!I also love that you can come and go 24 hours a day!The only reservation available is for men and women, but when I went there, I found that the inn had reservations for women only, so I could change my reservation! He called out to me! He was a very bright and cheerful person!I was really curious about the bar on the first floor lolIt's close to the station and recommended!
