I was completely charmed by the charm of Amami Oshima, and this is my third visit this year. In May and August, I visited Nasu House, but this time I went to Tamari House, which I was interested in! It was amazing. Both Nasu House and Tamari House are so attractive that I'm having trouble deciding which one to stay at next time. The open-air bath at Tamari-tei was especially wonderful, and it was very pleasant to take a bath while looking at the stars. Also, after playing in the sea in front of my eyes, I was able to enjoy the ultimate luxury of watching the sun set on the terrace. Thank you for your quick response even though it was a last minute reservation. I'll definitely see you again!

The inside of the old folk house has been renovated very nicely and we had a comfortable stay. The bathroom was only a small shower room, so that was a bit of a concern. The location from the room was very good, and the wooden deck on the terrace was also nice.

When I woke up in the morning and went outside, I heard a popping sound. When I looked towards the sea, I saw a whale coming to play. When I asked the locals, I was told that during this period from January to March, people from Russia come to Amami Oshima to give birth and raise their children. The kids were overjoyed to see a real whale✨✨It was sunny and there wasn't much wind, so it was comfortable to have a barbecue in the afternoon 👌Ingredients can be purchased at nearby supermarkets.Apart from that, the daikon radish and mandarin oranges sold on the roadside were really delicious. The kitchen was easy to use as it had all the things you might need, such as seasonings. In the evening, I had fun walking with my kids on the white sand beach and picking up seashells. The stars (at night) and the moon (in the morning) that could be seen from the deck of the facility were also beautiful. The kids loved the hammock and swing chair.I was able to relax with my family. We had a wonderful winter break 😃The beach is also very private and is recommended for families.

The inn is very clean, well-maintained, well-equipped, and comfortable. I slept separately in the bedroom and Japanese-style room. It is also easy to fold the futon in a Japanese-style room with a mattress. The shower was on the terrace, so it was nice to be able to enter the room without getting my feet dirty, and there were some beaded cushions that I could roll around in, and I could use the sofa or hammock, so I could relax wherever I wanted. It was a shower room, but there was a chair and hot water came out from the side, so it was warm. At night, I lay down on the terrace and looked at the starry sky. It's a little far from the mangrove tour and tourist spots to the south, but the roads are clear so it's not a problem. I want to come again next year.

Last year, I stayed at Nasu House and fell in love with Amami and KESHIKI.This year, I took my family and stayed at the newly opened Tamari-tei.I got the impression that both ``Nasu-tei'' and ``Tamari-tei'' have their own merits, so they can be used depending on the purpose and occasion.First, as a comparison between the two facilities,Nasu House has four private rooms, so it is suitable for traveling with large families or friends and family.Although Tamari House has a partition wall, it is one large room with the living room and bedroom connected, so it seems suitable for families and couples. Also, although Nasu House is small, there is a bathtub,Tamari House only has a shower booth, so I really want to take a bath! You need to be careful. The biggest feature of Tamari-tei is that it has a deck space where you can enjoy BBQ and bonfire. Our family also enjoyed BBQ this time! Also, Tamari-tei had a small ice machine, which was also very useful. I would love to have it at “Eggplant House” too!In both cases, there were seasonings left by customers (which I really appreciated), free rice, and wine and food available for purchase. Ingredients can be obtained from a supermarket about 15 minutes away by car.Anyway, KESHIKI is recommended for those who want to relax and enjoy Amami with friends and family. If you are planning a trip to enjoy Amami, like swaying in a hammock and hearing the sound of waves in the distance, or sitting on the deck and enjoying the sunset and starry sky, I highly recommend you try using it!
