It’s an ok place to stay, especially if you travel alone. With more people it can be a bit crammed. We booked as on booking site it showed a much bigger rooms. We got a shoe box room in the kitchen pretty much. The walls and doors are paper so you can hear everything. It has all that is needed but we did expect the rooms to be a bit cleaner and bigger. It’s an old building with a lot of dirt accumulated but it’s ok for one night or so. Be careful on the stairs they are very uneven and dangerous.

This accommodation is located right in front of Miyanoura bus stop. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and quiet, so I had a comfortable stay.The guesthouse appears to be staying in the building, and people who book private rooms stay in the annex across the street.The toilet and bathroom are shared, but they are very clean, and there was no case of having to wait or not being able to use the room because of other guests during the stay.It was nice to be able to use a kitchen and cooking utensils, so I could buy ingredients and cook a meal.Also, the use of the washing machine was free and detergent was provided, so it was great to wash clothes that got dirty from hiking.

We couldn't find a place to stay, luckily Friend had a room available. It was the first room by the entrance, with a bunk and another bed enough for 6 people. For us, as a couple, more than enough room. There are outlets on each bed which was nice. You get a towel and they have a bath there. Also, washing machine and dryer. A shared toilet and kitchen. Lots of useful amenities. The room's are paper thin and you can hear everything said. Since we were there for one night, we didn't mind. Lastly, they allowed us to stash our things there as we ran some errands before we left Yakushima. Grateful for their hospitality.

Wonderful place! Loved everything about it! The lady that runs the guest house does not speak any English, but she will show you everything you need to know. Very clean, warm and great location! Could not recommend it more! Thank you for having me and thank you for making this such a great trip for me!

It's a well-located and clean guesthouse, and we keep coming back.It's a shame that the lighting in the room is a little dark, but other than that there are no issues.After checking out, you can leave your luggage in the lobby, which is helpful.

This guesthouse was the best. First of all, the rooms, hallways, toilets, etc. are all spotless and clean. As an inn, it is wonderful to draw the line between doing the bare minimum and leaving things up to the autonomy of the guests. There's a bath, a pot of hot water in the kitchen, and a casual cup of coffee. Finally, this is 3800 yen per night. When you come to Miyanoura in Yakushima, this is the place to go!

It is within a 10 minute walk from the port. The facility is clean, including the plumbing, and there are free washing machines and cheap dryers.The location is good as there are pubs and supermarkets within a short walk.Coffee and condiments are also available in the common space.You can feel the warmth of the wood like a lodge, and the manager's mother is also a nice person.
