Yuki is the perfect host. A nice little pension in a great location with cute little rooms and excellent dinner options made from the fish Yuki's husband has caught on the day.You really feel like you're in a safe place, and simultaneously on the other side of the world.Extra points for Yuki's attitude, service and her perfect English skills. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was as much of a concierge as a host.

It was a reservation from agoda.I went to the venue on the day and found out that children cannot stay overnight. Please do not write anything confusing such as recommendations for families. There was no consideration given to the response, and I was charged the full amount of the cancellation fee, and I was left without accommodation on the day.I searched for other accommodations, and the accommodation I finally found was very friendly and accommodating, so I am rating this based on that gap.Although it was summer, there was no air conditioning at the entrance, so I was left drenched in sweat. I will never book again even if the room is empty.

Yuki is such a kind and lovely host, we really felt super welcome. She even helped us book the car and helped us out with our next car rental in Kagoshima. It’s real customer service! The house is cozy and has everything you need. We had dinner once in the pension and it was delicious, high end restaurant quality with fresh fish and yummy veggies from the garden. Would definitely stay again! Thank you Yuki!

Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and well located. The dinner was delicious and I felt like I was in a top rated restaurant. Yuki is very helpful and so easy to communicate with.

Yuki was nice and helpful, she responded quickly on all our questions and booked the car for us. She even rented a towel to me to go to mixed onsen for free.The room was small and simple, the beds are not comfortable, bed sheets were not covering mattress and the towels were looking as mop cloth.Regarding, the breakfast it is just a sandwich. I avoid gluten and said that I would only take breakfast if there is a gluten free bread and Yuki didn’t raise any issue. Otherwise it is easy to find gluten free food in the supermarket. Moreover the breakfast was so small (especially gluten free bread was smaller) that we had to complete it in the supermarket proposing plenty gluten free options.

We loved our four nights at Pension Blue Drop! Yuki is such a nice person and host. She recommended us what to visit on the island, helped with ferry tickets and car rental, made us great breakfast and lunch boxes which we enjoyed when hiking the beautiful forests of Yakushima, and greeted us with a warm smile everytime we met her. The beds of Yuki's pension were very comfortable (also for tall people :)) and the room was spacious and clean, bathroom was clean and spacious, shampoo smelled great, the washing machine cleaned our clothes, and the location was perfect to explore this magical island. We would definitely come back to Yuki's place.

We stayed at Pension Blue Drop for 3 nights but wished we could have stayed longer! Yuki was such a wonderful host. We arrived to a beautiful cedar home that was spotless. A beautiful handmade note was left for us to welcome us! Yuki provided wonderful recommendations for a walk to Ocean onsen. The neighborhood is surrounded by the beautiful Yakushima Landscape and stars at night are within arms reach. Yuki is so knowledgeable about the Island and provided amazing recommendations and details of how to make the most of our time.Dinner was stunning. The most tasty and fresh sashimi I have ever eaten in my life, caught fresh from that day.Breakfast was also beautifully prepared, tasty, and fresh with fresh fruits and vegetables from the Garden.After long hikes we were so happy to arrive “home” and have a rest in complete comfort.We will come back to Yakushima and can’t imagine staying anywhere else! Highly recommend! Thank you Yuki and Toru!
