My husband and I stayed here as a couple!Luana's husband and wife were very nice, and the signboard dog, Aloha, and cat, Mahalo, were also very cute.It was the best memory of my wife's birthday.I would like to visit again.

An amazing place to stay for a vacation in Yakushima. The location is spectacular with a sea view, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The owners of the house are charming and help with everything we need, they helped us perfectly in preparing the visit to the island. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Yakushima to stay at Pension Luana house

This is a pension located in the Onoma village. The location overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and you can enjoy the view from the shared living room and terrace. I was shown to one of the 8 rooms, a 7 tatami Western-style room. The price for a room without meals was 12,000 yen including room charge. The room is not very large, but it is clean and comfortable.Although I couldn't make it in time for dinner, I thoroughly enjoyed my wife's homemade breakfast (@1000 yen) the next morning! I was moved to see the German couple who were staying there express their gratitude for the food. When the guests finished their breakfast, the dog Aloha and the cat Mahalo appeared leisurely. The two (two?) were so docile and polite and so cute. In the ocean-view living space, guests can greet other guests and receive complimentary coffee, providing a homely and warm service. Above all, the warm hospitality of the owner and his wife alone is more than worth the price. I would like to stay there again!

I stayed there for three nights.On the first day I arrived, I felt that the owner and his wife were friendly, approachable, and personable.Aloha-chan, a dog staff member, and Mahalo-chan, a cat staff member, also welcomed us! It was cute.The pension seems to be maintained by the owner, so it is well kept and clean. The floors in the guest rooms, decks, and common areas were spotless.The location from the deck was great, and the common space was cozy and a great place to relax with friends.And the food is delicious! It was a satisfying meal using local ingredients. For dinner on our third night, the couple grilled us a barbecue on the deck, and while we ate, we even watched the wife do a hula dance, which was a great time.This time, we had 8 people, including 3 visually impaired people, and they were able to accommodate the visually impaired in an appropriate manner and were extremely attentive.Everyone was very satisfied.If I have a chance to go to Yakushima again, I would like to stay at Luana House.
