Would not recommend staying here for the mattress alone. It is as hard as sleeping on the floor and even the pillows are uncomfortable. I was in pain every night of my stay. I regret not reading reviews more thoroughly as I now see others making this complaint but still giving higher star ratings.Not much can make up for an uncomfortable bed imo but for the rest... The staff were very nice and helpful, the public areas were cute, minimal but well maintained and looked like the pictures. Anything after that was a surprise and disappointing.Once you get to the halls and the rooms, it felt like a different place. The nice looking japandi minimalism doesn’t translate when the lighting is bad, walls are beat up and carpets stained. The rooms are tiny but I expected this. The shower area was uncomfortably snug though and the whole bathroom floor gets wet.The trains run directly under the hotel and I could feel and hear them on the second floor. Not super loud but noticeable. Fairly quiet otherwise.Room cleaning and bed change service only applies after every 3 or 4 nights so to get trash or towels changed before then you have to put them in the hall, this meant often walking through a hall lined with dirty towels and trash bins. Not a huge deal just didn’t do much to sweeten the experience.

The hotel is located in a new, very quiet and hip pedestrian zone. Morning dog meeting on the veranda and exceptionally good coffee and snacks in the sidewalk coffee stand in the lobby. Very friendly staff and a well-mixed audience. The area is young and trendy, full of vintage shops.

It is used as a gathering place for walkers from early morning around 6am every morning, and the same dog barks incessantly for two hours.When the number of dogs increases, they start barking at each other more and more, and they start to go crazy.Even if I close the windows and wear earplugs, I can't stop the noise, which is really annoying.It's a nuisance hotel built in a residential area, and there are only insane people who don't consider the neighbors at all.Unless I go out of business, I will be woken up early in the morning by this noise and have trouble sleeping for the rest of my life.

I'm only one night into a three day stay, but this bed is so hard and uncomfortable. Whatever else a hotel may offer, if you wake up in pain in the middle of the night than it's not doing it's most basic job. I've stayed in countless hotels in many countries, but never anything with a bed so unyielding. Same for the pillows. I've been more comfortable on a ground pad while out camping. If they just put a 4-5 cm cotton pillow topper on it it would be so much better

After participating in a live performance, I used it on a trip with my daughter for a pilgrimage to a sacred place.Good points① You can leave your luggage before check-in② Within 10 minutes walk from Shimokitazawa Station③ Location next to the street that became a hot topic in silent④ Staff with good taste⑤Simple room with toilet, shower, and hard bed⑥You can borrow 3 records from the front desk and listen to them in your room.⑦You can have delicious coffee and bagels for breakfast at the coffee stand (the spinach and bacon spread was delicious)⑧The other customers were all stylish foreigners, so I was able to enjoy the exotic feeling.⑨Free Wi-FiI was worried about making an online reservation, but I was satisfied. Recommended for those who like something a little unique.I would like to use it again if I have a chance.thank you

The position of the hotel was very good: there wasn't any traffic and it was lovely to make some walking in the area. Parking is a option (hotel has 3 spots) in 20 mt to the hotel, metro was near and the hotel was very new. …
