It's been 6 or 7 years since I last stayed here due to the coronavirus pandemic. The inn feels old, which is typical of a long-established establishment, but that gives it a good taste. The children also enjoyed the Anpanman furikake at dinner and breakfast.Chef, the food was very delicious.I chose the room with an open-air bath, and it was very comfortable, and my family was able to spend valuable time without having to bathe in the water.I'll come again! It felt like an old-fashioned inn.The people at the inn were also very nice. The view from the roomYou can see the seaI'm glad I chose a room with an open-air bath.I thought. The food was also delicious.I was worried about the parking lot being small after reading the reviews, butIt was certainly narrow, but I was able to stop.Avoid hitting the door or luggage of the car next to you.You may need to be careful. If I have a chance to come to Shimoda againI want to stay.

There are few hotels in Shimoda that have open-air baths in the rooms, so I found this hotel.Highly recommended for those who like the Showa retro atmosphere. There was a welcome drink that you could drink as many times as you wanted, and a little chocolate. You can also drink wine for free in the evening. From the open-air bath in the room, you could see the sea with the black ships floating on it, which was very nice. However, there are no blindfolds so that you can see the sea, so there is a possibility that you may be seen from the pier (although there is a distance), so it may be better to cover yourself with a towel when walking to take a bath.

I stayed here for one night during the September holidays.A large black cockroach appeared in the room. I have stayed at various hotels, inns, and guesthouses around the country, but this is my first experience.Despite the intense heat, only a minimal number of air conditioners were operating in the building, so it was so hot in front of the elevators and in the hallways that I was sweating just walking up and down. The shared toilet on the first floor was smelly. The floor of the public bath was slippery. It seems like the cleaning is not done well in general. The staff members are all very nice people who greet you with a smile. However, the number of people was quite small compared to other hotels.I got the impression that they are focusing more on cost reduction than customer service. The food at the roadside station restaurant near the hotel is far more delicious and reasonably priced. I thought it would be better to stay overnight without meals and eat out.

We took the room with the side view and the private onsen. It was better than heaven and the price is really affordable. I strongly recommend this hotel. The only drawback is that yo cannot stay forever in that hotel but that is life. I would like to thank the front desk staff who have done the best to welcome us even if we do not speak Japanese.

The facilities are old, and the parking lot is just barely there, even with number 5.We took a room on a high floor and the location is great as you can overlook Shimoda Port. It's a hotel that families can enjoy, with a dome pool (all caps required to enter), a game center, and an open-air bath.I think this is because the facility has been expanded, but the upper floors are in a separate building and require a bit of a walk. The equipment is old. If there are noisy people above, below, left or right, it will make a lot of noise. I called the front desk and asked them to warn me.

I visited here on my anniversary because I wanted to stay in a room with an open-air bath. The exterior is surprisingly pink, and you might mistake it for an old adult hotel. (I think it would be better to recolor it...!)When I walked in, I noticed that the whole place was old and had a musty smell, and although it had a lot of things in it, it was a clutter and the interior didn't seem to have much taste. I have a slightly bad feeling...However, when I entered the room, it was beautiful and had a semi-open-air bath and an open-air bath, and the open-air bath had free flowing water, which was great! The dinner venue looks like it has just been renovated and is very clean. It was completely new and unimaginable from the outside, and in a good way, it exceeded my expectations. It came with a kaiseki meal, and everything was very delicious. The staff were all kind, polite, friendly, and very nice.I asked the staff to raise the temperature of the bath, but when I thought they didn't come to the room, they said, "Sorry! I forgot!" It felt good to be so honest. It was about that lol. I also laughed when Kusudama came out to celebrate. I felt that everyone tried to provide hospitality in various ways. It's not a luxury inn, but overall it was a great stay! thank you very much.

The open-air guest room had a feeling of openness, and you could see the calm sea during the day, and the illuminated Kurofune at night, while the indoor bath had the scent of cypress and both were great. The room had all the amenities and it was nice to have a bathrobe.Check-out was slow, so it was nice to take a walk in the park in front of the hotel after breakfast.Although the building has a Showa era feel, everything is clean. Also, both dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of items and the taste was outstanding. The sashimi and simmered kinme for dinner were especially delicious. However, alcohol seemed to be quite expensive. All the staff members were very nice.Overall it's quite cheap.
