I stopped by when I went to the Mitsuboshi Observatory on Oigawa Railway's starry sky exploration tour.I gave it 4 stars because I only used it for meals (lunch provided on the tour) and not for the night, but the owner was kind.Next time I'll be visiting on my own to watch the stars, rather than on a tour, and plan to stay the night there.

I used it with my friends and family during Golden Week. While being shaken by the Oigawa Railway, I arrived near Tanoguchi Station,The owner, who was very kind, picked us up on a shuttle. The inside of the lodge was very beautiful and clean, and the ceiling of the building was high, giving it a feeling of openness. In the common space, there is a grand piano, a hammock, and lots of comics and toys. The children also seemed to be able to play freely. You can also reserve a time for the bath after check-in.It was like renting it out as a family, and we were able to take a relaxing bath in the spacious, wood-based space. If you drive to the neighborhood, you will see a suspension bridge and an abundance of nature.Apparently, the starry sky seen from the adjacent three-star observatory is very beautiful.(Unfortunately, we were turned away by the weather...but maybe next time.)The food was very delicious and the children ate it up.It was a reasonable cost for a family of four, and it was a great memory.I'll come back later.

I used this lodge when I traveled to the Oigawa area before, and it is a very nice lodge. The room was a lodge, so it was simple, but the open lobby was comfortable and the environment was quiet and relaxing. The moon I saw at the observatory that night was so beautiful that I still remember it clearly.

After crossing the dream suspension bridge and entering the beauty bath in Kawanehoncho, I headed out! Although my check-in was later than planned, the staff welcomed me comfortably and made me feel at ease. The food has a stylish appearance that you can enjoy, and the taste is very delicious🤤💓The quantity was just right and I was impressed with everything! This time, there were four of us, and we rented one Japanese-style room and one Western-style room. Both rooms were clean, with an atrium throughout the building, and the structure was stylish, yet somehow had a nostalgic and homely feel. It was a very nice inn where you could feel ✨ There were hammocks and board games, so I was excited! The starry sky at night and the brightness of the mountains and sky in the morning were beautiful and pleasant. I overlooked that astronomical observations at the observatory require reservations, so I wasn't able to do it this time, but I would like to make a reservation next time if I have to use it.I invited some friends from far away to visit, and they were really happy, and I had a lot of fun myself😊✨Thank you very much to the staff who kindly greeted me until I returned 🙇✨✨

Used by family. I decided to stay at the Three Star Observatory because I wanted to see the stars. It was a bit hectic, probably because it was run by a small number of people.I felt at home and learned a lot of things. You can hear conversations with other guests, and if insects sneak into your room, they will catch them. They don't seem to use insecticides because they will leave a smell in the room.

Mt. Takatsuka trailhead. Normally, you can drive up to Yamainu Dan, which is higher up, but the road along the way often collapses due to heavy rain, and the road is often chained up and closed to traffic. There is a parking space for mountain climbers a few dozen meters ahead of Wood House Orokubo that can accommodate about 15 cars, but there are no water holes, toilets, or mountain climbing notification boxes. There is an elevation difference of nearly 700m from here to the original trailhead, Yamainu Dan, and it takes over 7 hours to walk round-trip on a forest road. It's exhausting, not just physically, but mentally because it's exhausting. The actual collapse of the road is not a big deal, so you can actually drive your car on it (although some people have taken off their chains and are driving up to the Yamainu Steps...). It seems that there are not only mountain climbers but also fishing tourists as you can go down to the stream from the Yamainu step.

After boarding the Starry Sky Train, they kindly provided us with a pick-up and drop-off, and we were able to see an even more beautiful starry sky at Orokubo.I stayed overnight without meals, but next time I would like to stay overnight with meals included.
