The guest house is really cozy and has amazing views of the ocean. There’s a lounge with Japanese manga and a dining room where you can have breakfast in the morning - you need to reserve breakfast before hand and probably as soon as you can to be safe. There are no convenience stores around Futo station but the guest house does sell some drinks, snacks, and light meals like instant ramen. The rooms do have their own mini fridge though. I stayed in the family room with friends - the family room doesn’t have a private shower unlike the other rooms but did have its own toilet and sink. There’s also a shower/bath room for guests to use, and you can also see the sea from the bath. There’s not too much happening around Futo station but it’s very pretty to walk around in. For restaurants and things to do, my friends and I took the train to the neighboring Izu-Kogen and Atami stations and there’s a lot to do and see around there, as well as a lot of restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores. The owner of the guest house has good recommendations for the surrounding area too. There’s a lot of parking at the guest house but there are a lot of steps up to the house. Overall I had a really nice stay here - the atmosphere of the guest house was really relaxed and cozy and the views were amazing. The surrounding area had a lot to do, and the nature and bird life was really relaxing to enjoy as someone who currently lives in a city. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to find quiet, affordable, and comfortable accommodation when visiting the Ito area.

After Pension Horizon closed at the end of 2022, it seems that a new one opened in the same location in March.The name Horizon remains on the building and everywhere.The location is quite high on a cliff, and you have to go up a steep slope from the station. Also, there are even steeper stairs at the end, so it might be a bit difficult to carry large luggage, so it's probably best to skip it. However, the view from the top is spectacular. As the name suggests, it is an ocean view.The view is especially spectacular in the morning and evening.It feels like a small hotel suitable for backpackers and solo travelers to use as a B&B.The two young people (probably a married couple) who are currently running the restaurant may not have gotten used to it yet, but they are very pleasant and polite in their customer service.There is a parking lot, but it is best to check in advance as it is on a very steep slope and there are large steps, so depending on your vehicle, you may not be able to get in because you might rub your stomach.
