Found numerous stains (some looking fresh, red/brown in color) hidden under the sheets (on at least three beds), so we had to request a whole new set of bedding. The room itself smelled musty and old, as did the lobby. There was also a dead bug's leg left stuck to the wall right next to the door. The mattress itself is rock hard and uncomfortable.Honestly, I'd avoid this hotel like the plague.

The location is very difficult to findThere is no cleaning service in the roomAt night, I found that there were not enough beds and I had no help. There was no one on duty at the reception desk at night, and no contact number was left.

We booked this place. As another comment said. It's not a hotel, no service, very far from everything. If you don't have a car, avoidSold on booking with breakfast except that there is none. There is no bathroom in the rooms. At 200 euros per night it's a stealI don't understand how people can give more than 3 stars

Spent 2 days. All liked it. The price/quality ratio is excellent. The views of Fuji are magical. The hotel is quiet and that's what's great about it. We liked. The fact that the hotel is located on the sidelines is not scary. The workers themselves took us where we needed to go, and back, yes, on foot from the bass, but it’s only 400m

Poor maintenance. After a visit to their onsen, I developed severe skin problems that now require treatment from a dermatologist. It’s clear that the facility is not properly maintained and does not meet acceptable hygiene standards. perhaps the shower gels was also expired.I strongly advise others to avoid this onsen until they take necessary steps to ensure cleanliness and safety. This has been an unpleasant experience for me. Avoid this place until they can guarantee a safe and clean onsen environment.

The accommodation itself is not accessible. If you don't drive a car, you have to take a bus, but it doesn't seem easy to get to the accommodation after sightseeing elsewhere in Hakone. There were no convenience stores or stores nearby, so there wasn't much to do when the sun went down. It felt like a training center in a remote mountain. The accommodation itself was very quiet at night.Perhaps because it is in a remote location, the air is really good and the accommodation overlooks Mount Fuji and the lake. The view from the accommodation was very nice. There are both indoor and outdoor public hot spring baths, and you can soak in the outdoor bath while looking at Mt. Fuji. However, I couldn't go in the outdoor bath because it was too hot. However, it seems that the bathtub and bathhouse are not cleaned and maintained well, so you need to pay attention to this area.Personally, I think it was a special and not bad experience.

It is located deep in the mountains and is in a predicament that makes it difficult to get there without a shuttle. The owner is unknown, but the manager and staff are all Chinese...It is run by a fairly small number of people, and most of the customers are foreigners. The inside of the room is sloppy and dirt is noticeable in small areas...Although the bath is small, there is an open-air bath with a nice view, and you can see Mt. Fuji. You can see a sea of clouds in the morning. It was 16,000 yen for a room without meals during Golden Week.I think it's good for those who value cost performance.

This was a pleasant stay overlooking Mt Fuji. The breakfast was delicious and the Japanese-style rooms were spacious. However, there were some severe issues with our stay — the onsen was very poorly maintained with mold, algae and debris, and the temperature wasn’t hot at all. I got a bad infection from soaking in it, and my skin itched afterwards. The shared shower area was unhygienic and had dead bugs. Additionally, the staff was never present when we needed towels, or wanted to ask questions, or wanted to give feedback. We had to leave a day early because of the aforementioned issues. While this was good value for money with the view, visitors should be aware that this area in Hakone is a food desert especially in the evenings. There is one izakaya open for dinner about 15 minutes away downhill, but you should go early (5:30-6pm) as it can get crowded. Additionally, the whole area in Hakone smelled like sulfur, which was pretty bad though it wasn’t the hotel’s issue. We would choose another hotel in a much more accessible area if we did it again, or honestly skip Hakone and spend more time in Kyoto.

A charming ryokan in the hills above Lake Ashi. My husband and I stayed in an apar**ent style unit with tatami rooms with futons. We enjoyed the onsen (indoor and outdoor). …
