I stayed at Sansuiro Ryokan during the holidays and had a very disappointing experience.Just two hours after checking out, I realized that I had forgotten my precious high-end belt in the guest room, so I immediately contacted the hotel. Even though the cleaning staff were the only ones who entered the guest room after checking out, the inn received rude comments such as ``Maybe it was the customer's misunderstanding'' and ``Maybe they left it at home.'' .After that, I inquired many times, but nothing was found, and I was finally told, ``The inn will not take responsibility.''Throughout the process, I did not receive any sincere response from the hotel.I stayed at this hotel with high hopes for its formality and reputation, but it is really unfortunate that something like this happened. Please be careful if you bring valuable items with you.

This time I stayed at Genji Annex. Although the room is very spacious, it cannot be denied that it is old. The water area in particular is very old, so we do not recommend it for anniversaries or special occasions. I think it's for family reasons etc.The observation bath has a sense of openness that makes you want to soak in it slowly.Beer and sweets were available in the lounge until around 6pm. I didn't enjoy it because I don't drink beer, but if you like beer you should be happy!Overall, the cost performance is honestly not very good.Considering the price, I expected a little more quality for dinner. The breakfast was more extensive than I had seen in the reviews. Most of the customer service staff are temporary employees, and some customers may be offended (bitter smile). We were told that we had a weak response.I wonder if I will visit again, thank you very much.

I stayed for consecutive nights during the holidays in September 2024.The food, service, and security were the worst in my life.(As I wrote at the end, the others are luxury hotels in Southeast Asia and Africa)〇 My wallet that was left on the desk in the locked guest room was stolen.I had tens of thousands of yen in cash, my driver's license, and even the keys to my house, so it's been a busy week since I had to change the locks on my house door and reissue my ID card.〇 The dinner looks like inn food, but it tastes bad. It's amazing that even the after-meal tea is consistently bad.〇 Service is the worst・We left the car with us upon arrival, but when we took it out for sightseeing on the second night, the staff forgot to return the key.・I contacted them and had them look for the key, and after a few minutes they finally secured it, but when I returned for my second night's stay,They said, ``I'll leave your car for you.'' ``No, you have the key,'' but the conversation doesn't get through. When I finally got through to them, I said, ``Yes!''Normally, I think it's "I'm very sorry," but it seems different around here.・My child was wearing a yukata on the first night, but although the yukata was collected when the room was cleaned, there was no replacement yukata.Children's size yukatas were already out of stock, so we ended up spending the day without one.I think hot spring inns up until now have reserved special sizes for guests staying multiple nights, but I think I'm expecting too much.〇 The glass cup in the room was broken when I entered the room. I'm stunned.Other people have written that the service is terrible, but is it because of the inbound effect that the business is still successful? The quality may have gone down due to restructuring due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the quality of service is unbelievable.I'll write about the good points, but only on the basic hardware side.・The room is large・Both the large public bath and rooftop open-air bath are large and clean.・Lounge audio has good taste with Accuphase and B&WAlso, the coffee available is of good quality.Even though we call it the same lounge, I use one that is better than the airline lounges where costs have been reduced recently.Overall, it was one of the worst stays in the top three, with a huge gap between expectations and reality. Here are the other two for reference.・ The hotel staff didn't tell me that the in-room phone was disconnected at the Hilton in Africa, so the agent couldn't contact me and called.・At a Westin in Southeast Asia, the cleaning of the guest rooms was extremely sloppy and food waste was left in the trash can. There were other issues with the other party, so I was able to change to a suite for 200,000 yen/day, so this turned out to be a good thing.・This time Yugawara SansuiroHigh accommodation costs, bad food, rooms where wallets are stolen, and customers forgetting to return their car keys. It is an unimaginably terrible service that cannot even take over the defect.

A while ago, I felt that the price and service did not match. At first, I had to wait for check-in without any guidance, and when I checked out, the alcohol price I had ordered with the meal was incorrect (I noticed it and had it corrected). Also, the taste of the course meal wasn't bad, but the food never came out, and it took about 3 hours to get it all out even though I was urged to do so. After finishing the meal, it was quite late at night. Sometimes I forgot what I asked for...The staff's friendliness and ambiance were not bad, so I thought they were understaffed, as mentioned in other reviews.

[Although it is noticeably dilapidated, I am satisfied with the dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the hot springs.]I stayed one night in a room with an open-air bath on a weekday Thursday.Since I had informed them in advance that I don't like meat, they offered me a course with seafood instead of meat. The yellow part of the menu is the changed version. Both dinner and breakfast were truly wonderful. There are no complaints about the way the soup stock is made and the amount of saltiness. There is a rooftop open-air bath and a large bath on the 4th floor, which are used by men and women depending on the time of day. There is also a sauna on the rooftop. When I was in my room, I could take a hot spring bath on the balcony as soon as I felt like it, so I was able to thoroughly enjoy the hot springs in one night and two days. The rooftop and guest rooms are well-appointed, and the view of the lush green mountains from the chairs, as well as the noisy sound of the river and cicadas, will make you forget about the worldly world. Come to think of it, I never turned on the TV.Coffee and sweets are provided free of charge at the free lounge on the second floor.Unfortunately, the building as a whole has a Showa-era feel to it, and the building and fixtures and fittings are showing signs of age, and it feels like the maintenance has fallen a bit behind, and the future challenge will be how to come to terms with this.Enjoy dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and then indulge in the hot springs. If you just focus on enjoying it, you will be satisfied.

The rice is delicious. The bath is also just right.Customer service is also polite. If you look down, there's no dust in the room, but if you look up, you'll see spider webs. Dust? They hang down in a row and are uncomfortable. The toilet is clean, but there is a lot of limescale in the hole where the water for washing hands flows. It was hot in the room, so I was grateful that they lent me a fan, but it didn't seem to be maintained, so when I turned it on, dust was flying in the fan's wind. Because of my job, I am more strict than others when it comes to cleaning, so even if you can accept a cheap accommodation, I think it is better to check every detail as it is a reasonable accommodation. Other than that it was very good

Thank you for staying in a wonderful room with an open-air bath and a garden. I had a very elegant time. Meals were not served in the room and the dining venue was far away, which was a bit of a hassle, but I was satisfied with the food. I'm not in a position to go back many times, but if I have the chance, I'd like to go again.
