Awesome place … superb facilities… warm hospitality… delicious food… spectacular view… free wifi ( was surprisingly amazing. Didn’t expect )…exact location for 360• photography…. Toilet clean but little stinky which is obvious ( can’t flush the toilet paper / put into the trash can beside ) … very cold tap water … free supply of drinking water / tap water outside … free boiled hot water and hot tea at the dining hall 24/7… dryer room ( wet boots , socks , gears could be dried inside this special room ) , it is located outside the hotel room , close to the toilet … charging points in front of the check-in counter and also Beside the sleeping rooms ( note: the electric supply is closed in the night time , even the light inside the rooms ) .. package room stay + dinner + breakfast = 15000¥ / headHighly recommend this place

It was busy in weekends more than 500 tens were there. Use good mat. full of with stones. Takes 2:30 h to hotake hut. Nice Place for camping.

The curry was heavy and probably oily. I suggest to go for soba or other two options. I tried curry rice and I guess it was the worse one (1000 yen/dish). Ideal is bring your food by yourself, though it is a long way to carry them...

I recently had the opportunity to hike up to Karasawa Hutte. It was worth the 8 hour hike to the Hutte from Kamikochi Bus station. From there you get the most breath taking views of the mountains and around the valley.
