Beautiful spot, accommodation is ok, no luxury here.. staff are very nice, food is ok, prepare to get wet on the boat.. lol. Love dogs around and one very loud cat. 🐈 be aware of leaches on the jungle hike, but I guess it’s the norm.. overall our experience was good. Serving beer is always a plus in Indonesia.

The place is really special and the cabins are just good enough to be confortable.The logístics to get there are difficult but they have it under control and in the end It has to be difficult to reach an isolated place.I had somehow the impresión that the place is a bit rundown, despite being small It was not fully booked, maintenance is not great in the area and also within the cabins, i also think that if you stay 3 days or longer room cleanjng should be done along with change of sheets, towels....if it is optional customers should be advice about it upon arrival. I missed good tips for snorkeling since clearly there are really nice áreas for It and It takes two minutes to advice customers. Finally i think food can be improved specially in quantity, i can understand that with full board owner wants to take as much margin as posible but when customers realizes about it...then this has to be improved....overall experience is great but with the updated price since september 2024 customers pay really high prices and probably expectations are higher too....

We spent 6 days with family out of time in Rimba. Both Island and Waterfall trips were perfect with our great guide, Martin. A friendly team, good meals. We would particularly like to thank Martin for his kindness, his availability, and his constant good humor. Thank you for these memorable evenings by the fire on the beach.

Did not meet expectations at all to relax under palm trees in the sea on the beach and with some time in between. Of course, this is also due to bad advice from our travel agency Original Asia. …

We were only at the actual lodge overnight (for 4 nights) but the air-conditioned room with mosquito net was a wonderful respite from the incredible heat and humidity. …

We had an amazing time here!The perfect place to get away from everything and spent some relaxing time in nature. You only get electricity and Wifi at certain times a day, so it feels really remote. We stayed for 3 nights, which was enough time to explore everything, but not too long to get bored. Still, there is a lot to do, you can go snorkeling and see some colourful fish or a turtle (if you’re lucky) or take the stand-up paddle, all for free!The staff was really friendly and always around if you needed something. They were always singing and in a happy mood.We got three meals a day, which were really tasty but my boyfriend was a little hungry at times as he needs a lot of food and the portions weren’t super big. So bring some snacks if you are a hungry person!We stayed in the Loomba-Loomba rooms, so the cheapest option. They were alright but with a shared bathroom and no hot water. But that‘s alright as you are in nature anyways.

The best place to stay near Padang. Little paradise with super nice staff, great food and all you need to chill and relax.

RIMBA Ecolodge is a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy nature in a quiet place.The charm of the resort is being secluded (only accessible by boat) and it's focus on preservation of nature, ecology and sustainability. If you want you can participate in supporting the non-profit organization that is tied to the resort.Compared to the islands closeby it's (kept) clean from plastic and other litter and has a coral reef (sadly not in a great shape) in front of the resort. You can see wild turtles and various nice fishes there. The beach is beautiful, but you'll have to share it with thousands of hermit crabs that are using it as their private beach. But they are friendly critters and if you want there are hammocks everywhere too.The staff (including French owner Nad) are very friendly and willing to connect and facilitate. In the evenings you can make a campfire and sing songs while playing guitar. The food is tasty but not really elaborate, and there are alcoholic beverages available (rare for the Padang region).The small beach houses are very cosy and well maintained. They have a mosquito net and a flashlight. It has a private outside shower (with hot water too!) and toilet behind the house, where you feel like showering in the jungle.Note that this is not a super luxury and fancy resort (but definitely also not 100% 'back to basics' as it's quite comfortable) and know that you are in the middle of nature, so naturally mosquitos, cockroaches, lizards, ants etc might pay a visit to your beach house. But that's part of the charm!My advice would be to book at least three or more nights to fully enjoy the stay. It's not the cheapest, but we loved the experience. Would recommend!Feedback:Would be great if it would be possible to have more choice with the food, and if you could get more snacks/fruit etc between meals.

Very, very natural

I went there in 2018 and I didn't regret anything... What Nadege's association is doing is courageous. 15 days of timeless happiness.
