I had very fond memories of staying at a historical important cultural property. Although many of the employees were non-Japanese, they were very well-educated and the service was excellent.Dinner was also a very hearty meal that was perfect for spending the most luxurious time. Although he is a maniac, he uses red turnips for sashimi, and I was impressed by his careful sword handling! Most ryokans are only a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but this one really made me want to visit again.I will definitely visit again!

I discovered that the items I purchased in Kyoto the day before had disappeared. What I bought as a souvenir was stolen. Looking at the reviews, other people are saying things are gone and money is gone, but I don't feel very good. Be sure to take your money and belongings with you, and if you plan to visit this place, bring a suitcase with a password function or lock function. For some reason, I think they came in saying they would make a blanket for me and took it.

Everything was well run and lovely from start to finish. Staff was prompt in responding to a couple questions I had via email ahead of time. Shuttle from the station was great. Check in super smooth. Our room, Kumoi, was AMAZING. I’ve never stayed in a ryokan before so I was a little nervous about how everything worked but staff was so kind and helpful. An incredible service level. Dinner and breakfast so good! I let them know about my specific seafood allergies ahead of time and they had substitutes for me when a dish had that ingredient.Hotel and surroundings are gorgeous. I loved exploring the building and looking at all the views. Especially the foot bath! Can’t say enough good things about our time here.

The traditional tatami room was nice, but I could feel the footsteps in the next room where the wall seemed to be made of plywood...The service feels frustrating. There is a clear difference depending on which server you use.The location had a pretty good view, but the uphill slope was steep. If you went to see the city, I recommend taking the shuttle bus from the station and returning. The food... was just so-so.For a private hot spring, it seems like it's really better to just rent a local bathhouse? The road is very complicated and difficult. Smokers will likely find it very annoying.

The breakfast is the worst and the private hot spring is the worst.Overall it's not goodDon’t be fooled by photos, videos, and reviews. It's a tangible cultural asset, so it's good in the traditional sense, but in the reviewers' videos, only the good comes out better.Private hot spring is just like a bathtub attached to the bathroom.Since there are not many employees, everything is late. The breakfast was absolutely incredible. The bread served on the side was even better. The rooms and garden were beautiful. There was no shower room because I made the reservation with only the garden view in mind. It was also my fault for not paying attention as I was booking multiple accommodations.I have to go to the main bathroom and take a shower like a bathhouse.Still, the public bath looks better than the private hot spring. The structure is such that you have to open and close the blanket and open and close the table. It's not divided. I guess it's a tradition here. The road is very maze, so you have to walk for a long time to get anywhere, and it's a combination of stairs and elevators, so it's hectic. If you want to feel old Japan, it's okay to experience it.Not a place to go more than onceOh, and there is no soundproofing at all.I can't go to bed early because I feel the vibration every time someone walks.

The food, service, hot springs, and both the interior and exterior of the building were truly perfect. Although the location on the mountainside made access to the city a bit inconvenient, it also provided an absolutely stunning view. It was a joyful trip for all three generations of our 7-member family, from young to old, men and women alike.

I stayed in room number 212, Matsu. I've been to a lot of places, but this was one of my favorite accommodations in the past and it was the best.I would definitely stay again. Also, the waitress who showed me to my room was super cute, so it was a feast for the eyes.

Recommended for those who want to experience old Japanese buildings and inns. There is also a shuttle bus from the station.I think there are various grades of rooms,The room I stayed in this time had an indoor bath, and the bath in the room was a hot spring. I collected the water myself, but the window could be fully opened, and the mountain outside made the room feel like an open-air bath. The inside of the museum is so spacious that it's easy to get lost. There's even a stamp rally.Especially the Taisho Modern area is a must-seeFree coffee in the loungeFor girls, yukatas with cute patterns are available for rent. They will come and lay out your futon in your Japanese-style room.I didn't meet any Japanese guests, probably because I was staying on a normal weekday lol.Only a group of Westerners and a few Southeast Asians.

2024/09 AccommodationAll the staff were very nice♪Is it difficult to walk around because it is far from the hot spring town? I thought so, but I was able to warp down after being taught a shortcut~😀80% of the guests were foreigners. The buildings are designated as tangible cultural properties, and everything has a retro feel to it.My room was in the farthest building from the public bath, so I was hesitant to go there and only went there once...Instead, I enjoyed the open-air bath in my room. The hot water was clear, thick, and felt good 😊

It was a wonderful stay in Yunoshimakan. We stayed there for one night, with dinner and breakfast included. The service was great and the meal is delicious. The shuttle bus is very convenient to carry us from station to the hotel, then back to the station again for sightseeing in Gero followed by taking the bus again back to the hotel on the same day. We had booked the private hotspring session but the room is small. I'd recommend going to the public hot spring which is not crowded and have an outdoor hot spring.
